Who said its premature thing.Originally posted by aditya_YZF-R15 View Postdude motul FS refilling at 3000kms will be premature despite the ripping riding habit...use it till at least 4000kms...it supposedly is good all the way till 5500-6000kms based on what most people in this forum have written..add the effects of frequent high revving riding, it should i believe still be fine till at least 4000-4500 kms..
Actually life of engine oil doesnt matters in such small span of time.
All depends on the riding style and usage. There are many who almost dry up their engine oil or only 100-150ml engine oil lefts behind just after running 3500kms.
I have used motul 300v and have to refill at 3500kms, becuase I was drying it up just because of my riding style nowadays, redlining you know.
Similarly now adays I am using shell ultra and same case with that one.
If i dont redline much and ride as a sane rider, it lasts easily upto 5000kms, but again due to redlining and hard riding I have to refill at 3500kms.
Best way is to check engine oil level when u complete 3500-4000kms run with level meter.
if its too low, change it.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
hello guys,
Its been a really long time that i have posted on any website because of the studies but this time... i kinda had to.
i own a suzuki gs150r 2012 model and since i bought it m having various issues. Maybe the bike just cant handle my driving style.
i usually drive 70 km daily with 12 km in city and other 58 km on highway usually with 100kmph + speed.
i know that gs150r is a great ride and i love it but it isnt just made for me. Right now m thinking of buying a bike that would love to ride the way i want. (gs150r gets too hot
and its engine gets underpowered)
now, my first choice is r15, i dont care about looks, all i need is a bike that woudnt bread down in the middle of the highway and can ride for long distances
with extreme speeds or high rpm.
money is a kind of an issue and i cant afford a bike that would cost more than r15.
i have been to various threads on r15 but m curious if it would perform same after 3-4 yrs. My bike is like my wife( until i get a real one), so i take good care
of my bikes.(proper service timings, etc)
Right now guys i need a serious opinion weather i should buy this bike or not because travelling in busses is taking 3-4 hrs on one side and its kind of a disaster
cause i have exams in may-june.
please help guys, m depending on you all.
P.S. - m visiting yamaha on saturday(26 apr) for a test ride and the exact on-road price.
thanks for the help in advance.

hmm, i see...i dont redline except once in a while, but i do rev and ride hard pretty much all the time, so i guess i will keep checking the oil level and quality/colour once i cross 3000 kms on it..Originally posted by saquib3005 View PostWho said its premature thing.

You just want to replace because of a mere scratch.Originally posted by koushik_r15 View PostHey guys today I went on my bike to a busy street nd I was supposed to park it somewhere on that street .. the street was heavily crowded , somehow managed to park in a little bit secure place .. but when I returned some dirty fellow

Yes you get it.
Ask SVC store manager. Not sure of the current prices.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
This doesn't get mentioned often but suffice to say that this is a solidly engineered and built bike. If it weren't for the sporty riding position and higher fuel consumption (compared to other commuter 150cc bikes) i'd say this is the perfect commuter with literally fill it, shut it and forget it reliability!Originally posted by Gkhanna View Postnow, my first choice is r15, i dont care about looks, all i need is a bike that woudnt bread down in the middle of the highway and can ride for long distances

If you are physically fit rider who doesn't need to ride with a pillion, not a serious tourer and this bike fits in your budget then by all means go for it.Last edited by incipient; 04-24-2014, 09:24 PM.

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
i m physically fit( i do gym) and usually i dont ride with pillion for long. But m still very concerned cause my last bike gave me a very nice ride but it was pain in the ass. i spent almost 60k just for its spare parts and i never even had an accident or even a lil scratch.Originally posted by incipient View PostThis doesn't get mentioned often but suffice to say that this is a solidly engineered and built bike. if r15(or any other bikes) can handle high speeds for long times without any issues then please advice me cause riding in busses for 3 hrs is slowly killing me.
m not used to sit on top of busses and that also for 3 hrs.
as for the budget part, my budget isnt as that high but for a bike that wont need 60k in 2 yrs for spare parts then i can get a lil flexible.

Check out bachoo online shopping. He has put them for sale on discount.Originally posted by aditya_YZF-R15 View Posthas anyone ever bought a race-stand for R15 ? if yes, where and how much money ?
Was checking out few other things so unsure about the exact price.
Its between 3-5k
You can also get it done like the way my friend had! Its costed his 2900 including paint job. But finishing might vary but cannot be noticed!
