Are the 50th anniversary edition tank pads still available? Which ever outlet I ask I get a response there isn't production of it at all yet I see so many R15's (otherthan LE) with such tank pads.
Can anyone help me find one? Badly need it :|

Yes they're available here at Yamaha Factory Shop, Pune. The production has been stopped but the supply of spare parts and cosmetic parts is still present. It will cost around 700 INR plus taxes. In B'lore I would like to ask you to check with Bangalore Wheels, Orion, Perfect Riders. They may be able to provide you with those tankpads. BTW which color model you have? It will not look good on dark colored tanks. LE has a white tank where it suits most. Just a thought though and I am not an expert in the cosmetic part.

My R15 V2 bike is up for sale!

              Details:
              • Purchased on Feb 2012, 28000 km completed on odometer.
              • Well maintained and well ridden.
              • No modifications on the engine or body (except for a removed saree guard).

              Some nice stuff:
              • Yamaha billet levers (got brand new stock levers too). Also installed traction dots (stompgrip) on tank (useful for cornering but can be easily removed in case you don't want 'em).

Interested buyers in Delhi/NCR send me a private message right away for price or any other details!

PS: Price is reasonable and i can offer a test ride (based on my discretion). Only serious buyers need contact me.

Hey Arnab! I checked out in Perfect Riders and Orion Motors and both of them said its not available and they offer me with other local tank pads which are very thin and narrow! I will checkout with Bangalore Wheelers.
Does Yamaha Factory Shop, Pune sell them online?
Any similar outlet in Bangalore that you are aware of?
I own a fiery red LE and I liked the design (area covered)

Congrats. Strange coincidence - when you decide to buy the bike, i decide to sell mine.

Regarding body position, try to support your upper body using your stomach (core) muscles and not your arms. Keep the arms slightly bent at the elbow and try to be as light on the bars as possible. Also, grab the tank with your knees and weight the pegs. On a sport bike you got to use the legs...like a lot.

                            WTF ? :P

ok seriously, why selling so soon ? neither RC390 (which i know you are more interested in) nor R25/R3 is up in the market yet.

i don't know if i will ever sell my R15..even if i should at some point, don't know if i'd be able to emotionally :P

SS oil can/should be used when the bike is used for regular use like a combination of commuting in city traffic, going to office, ripping on highways etc.

Guys please correct me if I am wrong to say this.
Arnab bit correction to this, FS is not meant as such what you have suggested.
Even for R1, Yamaha suggests SS oil and everyone knows it used and and meant for hard riding. My friend who owns and rides r15 and R1, and is a very hard rider, he uses SS.
FS just gives more oil base and added viscosity and helps more in wear and tear.
There are many who rips bike, and red lines their and still use SS even though their odo is 50k+.
Moreover a difference of FS and SS is just a marketing gimmick in India, what I believe. SS serves the purpose to all extent.
And yamaha suggests this after a thorough analysis and research and still they suggest for yamahalube/motul which is again a SS oil.

I totally agree with you. This is what I tried to say actually. Even one xBhp member here at Pune has a FZ1 and he uses SS oil. In Indian conditions, SS oil is the all-in-one. I myself do use SS (Yamalube only) as I am aware of the fact that using FS oil will not give me any mentionable advantage over SS oil. That is why I said 'can/should be used'. For all litre-class bikes Yamaha suggets SS only.

My understanding is this 'When a bike is used mostly/only for closed circuit racing then people can/should use FS oil.' For everything else there is SS oil.
