MRF tyres website shows 2 tyres when I choose Yamaha R15 for front tire search. Gives me the stock 90/80 R17 & 110/70 R17 (NV Series). So I assumed since MRF listed that one, it fits the R15? Agreed the ride height will change, but it will fit? Also for rear it gives me the option of 140/70 R17 for rear wheel? Wanted some clarification on that actually.

Aah also searched extensively in michelin, dunlop, ceat, pirelli. Only Pirelli makes 110/70 R17. No one makes the 80/90R17 other than MRF. And I hate that front wheel. The govt in Goa has no money to fix roads and they are on a rampage and destroying the existing roads and there is loose gravel and mud pretty much everywhere you look. And my bike is really nervous.

As I said , black and red pics are from Indonesia . Tyres are IrC. Sprocket and indicators are different to Indian model.

1.R15 is the best bike in its segment and spending 1.3 lakhs for a Baby R1 is money well spent.
2.I have never had an experience to test the durability of the fairings .
3.As of now Yamaha discontinued their 50th anniversary limited edition.Pricing may not vary as there is no technical difference only the colour of the fairing are different.
4.I have asked every one who asks this question. Why do you want the know the resale value of a bike that you don't even own yet!!!???.I have no info about the resale value sorry.
5.Surely an R15 is a head turner, but bikes like R15 attract miscreants who might tamper with your bike(PAST EXPERIENCES).WELL since you asked the 2014 version give me a mileage of 48+kmpl.

That's some extreme mileage. Yhe max mileage I have got is 43kmpl durimg run in, around 35kmpl in citY and 36 in hard highway runs. But then I ride the bike as should be and not use it as a commuter.

Don't expect high resale value on performance bikes. I sold my 1year old, 7k km run bike foe for 95k and it was in mint condition.

Went to Yam showroom to check FZ v2 for my friend, Enquired about any launch news on R25/R3. Surprising, the sales person told me that R25 is on its way, but with the styling of the R15v1. Since people have raised numerous complaints about the pillion seat being close to useless in v2, and its going to be a parallel twin.

Dont know how far it is true, but this came out from one of the representatives mouth.

And I thought I was the only one getting around 50 kmpl, from mine. Everybody thinks I'm trolling when I tell them the mileage figures of my R15. The uncles from my colony still refuse to admit that my sports bike give more mileage than their activa. Cheers.

                                1. Well, It was the first thing I bought with my own money, and I never regret my decision. So yes it is value for money bike, at least for me.
                                2. The fairing is meant to make the bike aerodynamic and super stable at high speeds, and it does its job perfectly. You dont have to use it as a crash guard, so it will take damage if you crash.
                                3. The limited versions just have different colour schemes, all the components are same, so no extra cost at maintaining. Yes if you crash, same color parts will be difficult to find in future, so you'll have to order them specifically and it takes time.
4.No idea, I'm not planning to sell it anytime soon. But the price will drop quickly, it always does for premium products.
                                5. Well, yes it is perfect for anyone as long as you ride solo, take a pillion with you and you shoulders will hurt a bit. Mileage is around 50, if you have good riding habits.(I dont ride slow avg speed is 70-89 kmph).

Hope this helps brother. Feel free to ask any more queries, We're here to help.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.
