I'm unable to source an Air Filter from the 5 Yamaha showrooms that I visited and everyone were like "We are verifying the stocks and we will start counter sales in a week's time". The Air filter was previously changed at 10k kms and it hasn't been touched since. Another option is to get a second quality Air filter from local shops. I was wondering if it would be okay to source the second quality ones or just wait for the Genuine spares?
Wait for the genuine part. Your engine is not going to explode in the meantime.

Talking about the tank lid gasket damaged?? I would suggest to get it replaced as I think it prevents water from entering into the fuel tank and water entering fuel tank is not good. get it checked at service center, can lead to serious issues!!

I had an issue with my clutch the wire just got loose or slipped don't know, rpm was going up but the bike won't pick up motion, luckily service center was just 100m (ignition off) dragged my bike and the replaced the clutch wire and all was ok , but the mechanic was saying acceleration of my bike has decreased due to worn off clutch plates . He said you rode your bike for couple of days in this condition ( broken clutch wire) but it just broke 100m from svc but i checked my 0-60 its still around 6 sec so m confused why he was saying and is their any way to check the clutch plates???

If your bike still runs on stock tyres, check what speed the bike speedo shows at 4k rpm in each gear and compare it with others here. It shoul dbe matching, if there is a 4-5kmph drop in speed at 4k rpm in each gear it you can assume it's clutch plate wear and tear.
Another way is something a more experienced rider can feel and understand. If the bike when given throttle increases the rpm, but you can feel that the bike isn't moving up the power band as before, that again shows sign of clutch plate wear.

There are no such restrictions, now since the run-in phase of the bike is over, you are free to rev it up to the limiter whenever needed. But just as a cautionary word and do not take offense to this, be responsible while doing so.

Can anybody tell me a good oil filter that i can get from local market? SVC is way too far and have a lot of traffic on those roads. I tried the local market and all of em showed me some oil filter b/w 20-30 rs range with no brand at all and even of diff. sizes.. i think 30 rs for oil filter of this bike is way too cheap. Online purchase would be great too or just brand name with some pics would be helpfull too.

                  thnx in advance

Its better not to change than using local ones... Genuine one can be got from here http://indiaspares.in/catalog/produc...29/s/oil-pump/ Costs 167 + shipping. Also get a new O-ring. Part no 12 & 7.

A dramatic approach, when a baby is born the toddler first learns to walk on his knees and as time passes by he starts to walk on his legs. This does not mean that he is ready to run and compete with the world,it takes time and hard work.
During break-in you must have ridden your bike at 5000 rpm till the first 1000 km,don't push your bike to the extreme give her time.Gradually increase the rpm from 5000 to 6000 for the next 500 km then 6000 to 7000 for the next 500 and so on.This is how i trained my baby. Most of the members might agree with this method.
