I wanna adjust the idling myself but from 2014 onwards yamaha changed the idling mechanism on R15. There is no more brass adjusting screw on the exhaust side of the bike.
Though now there's an O2 sensor and the Fi system is closed loop, the idling speed can be still adjusted.(friend got his idling increased).

Your help is much appreciated.

i think it's better to stick to the stock up to 1500 Kms and then change to full synthetic it runs much smoother and lasts longer.!.
you can change to the 5100 now if you want as they are basically the same!

Yeah I'll stick to the 5100 for now. Will switch 300v after 6k kms

Yes!! Idling cant be adjusted as it gets automatically adjusted with the help of o2 sensor... In Your case, idling decreased because of improper tappet adjustment.. This restricts the air-fuel flow through intake valves, causing decrease in idling.

+1 on that,
and christo i just want to ask you one thing. When the mechanic was ajdusting the tappet did he use the gauges or did he do it with touch and feel method. i ask this because most of the service center guys have this habit of adjusting tappets with their touch and feel philosophy. I doubt if that can always be right.
And if he did use feeler gauge, by any chance do you know what spec did he adjust it to?

Hey guys my bike clutch is always varying from time to time when I rev hard and shift at high revs my clutch goes soft and basically turns into a on and off button the friction zone decreases..when I ride easy the clutch stays normal..!..when I had brought the bike new the clutch friction zone was smooth and progressive but now it has become short and aggressive..!..is it normal happens to every r15..!?

I think this thread has been misplaced due to the recent server up-gradation. @Divya Sharan can you please fix this?

You get it in eBay, also in many automobile shops. Don't go for the cheap ones, they're not worth it. You've lots of options on eBay.

From past few months I have been feeling that the engine is little hesitant to rev compared to earlier.. Yesterday I rode in rain and it was cold.. Engine felt lot smoother and new.. I wondered if there was any problem with the cooling system, because low temperature made the bike smoother.. I checked and found
Coolant level is just above low and 70% of the radiator fins are folded..
Should just topping the coolant be enough or do I need to replace it?
It was replaced about an year ago.
Any solution for the radiator?

Hey guys, I was wiping off water inside the tank lid when this rubber just came off(at the slightest touch), I have just placed it there but it seems to come off if I take it out. I have no idea what that is. Should I go the asc to get it rectified? Or is it just placed like that?

My bike has done 20k kms in 400 days. Everything is just as good as new. The Spark plug was replaced now and the one which was removed was clean too. Engine oil and oil filter will be changed in an extra 1.5k kms. I'm unable to source an Air Filter from the 5 Yamaha showrooms that I visited and everyone were like "We are verifying the stocks and we will start counter sales in a week's time". The Air filter was previously changed at 10k kms and it hasn't been touched since. Another option is to get a second quality Air filter from local shops. I was wondering if it would be okay to source the second quality ones or just wait for the Genuine spares?
