Well actually i am planning to get a few performance upgrades like joel's kit etc so will need better braking. Also, better bite from brakes will make doing stoppie easier...Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostWhy you need Steel Braided Brake Line kit? plan to take it on track?
FS is easily available in SVC but it is not advised to go for it at an early stage, stick to mineral for atleast 5000 to 6000kms.
Is Leo Vince exhaust good enough for R15?? Also planning to get ngk iridiums, any benefits?Biking- A Pure BLISS !

I think the reason for this is that when you keep the engine kill switch in off position, the check completes without any errors.Originally posted by abdulsheikh007 View PostOne Stupid thing i noticed, I DIY removed my petrol tank, the pump and everything from the bike
and switched later switched the bike on to check what error light will blink
to my surprise, the r15 check completed normally , and no diagnostic light came up.

This could mean that fuel pump check is not mandatory.Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally -> 2020

The tank pad I got on my sunset red is from DSG planet. You can find the pic on page 300. It totally matches with the side carbon fibre panels on the babe.Originally posted by Sorcerer's apprentice View Post@raghu_scsa316 Dude congrats for your new acquisitionThanks a bunch, I got it from the svc centre. Costed me 400. I found one that goes quite nicely with the sunset red.Originally posted by somen1984 View PostGenerally you will get it from SVC and if you need some good variety then visit your nearest bike aftermarket shops i your area.

Yes, scratch prevention. Depending on your riding posture, there may be instances when your belt or any other factor around your waist may rub against the tank, resulting in scratches on the tank, if the tank protector pad isn't present.Originally posted by Sushrut View PostPlease forgive my lack of knowledge here, but what exactly as a purpose do tankpads serve? Scratch prevention?

1) My bike has done some 250 KMs till now, should i go for the oil + oil filter change at 300 KMs?
What'll be the approximate cost for the same?
2) What's the best recommended procedure for cleaning/detailing/polishing the bike?
And what are the shampoos, polishes etc recommended?Yamaha R15 V2.0 (2012)

The tank pad won't cover the entire tank, but just the portion which comes right near your waist. If you do have the Italy flag colors done there, then yes, you 'll have to sacrifice it, but then again, it's for the best.Originally posted by Sushrut View PostI do noticed a patch of scratch. But if I am going fora tank pad, I may need to sacrifice the cool Italy flag colors got done on the tank

Ans 1: New bike? Yes you can go for the oil filter+oil change now, it won't hurt, except a few bucks. Ask the service center which oil have they used when handing over the bike to you. Continue the same till the next servicing. Even if you go by the manual, it won't hurt, given that its Yamaha who has written it, right!Originally posted by Techiemechie View Post1) My bike has done some 250 KMs till now, should i go for the oil + oil filter change at 300 KMs?

Ans 2: Google is our best friend. I am sure Google will definitely point out some thread linked to XBHP. I am not sure if car shampoos/polish can be used on bikes, so won't suggest anything out here. You can visit Shell Petrol Station as they do keep a variety of polishes/shampoos. I myself haven't tried it anytime. (I own Black Pulsar 150 by the way. Also, you can contact @Eshan P-180 here. His Black babe shines and looks so cool that you can see your face. He might be just be the person you canbother about THE R15).Regards,

Completed Third Service @4.5k kms(instead of 6k kms.). Had the overheating issue for long time. This time tried a different service centre to solve it.
They found that the spark plug is 'defective'.. and they also said that there is a leak in the head(reason being the head is not fit tight enough to stop the coolant leak). So they have fit it properly.Have to run a
The oil and filter has been changed as usual!
