Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Dude...I was talking about the stock (revZ-s) Metzler sportec looks awesome but at the end its little too much opting it for r15, stock tyre is what we have to go about. complete package& will ensure perfect riding characteristics....Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostWhich tyre are you talking about? He is replacing with stock only. The Metzler is not for R15 ( i mean the size ). In pic: right is stock rear and left is Metzler
The other one that I often get
is whether to go for pirelli sport demon (stock size). Wouldn't be bad if I go for it baring the cost, which is way too expensive
Does it worth the money?

The thing about pirellis is, its very hard to get a pair of those here in India(atleast in Chennai it is hard to get).Originally posted by Suresh@yammie View PostDude...I was talking about the stock (revZ-s) Metzler sportec looks awesome but at the end its little too much opting it for r15, stock tyre is what we have to go about. complete package& will ensure perfect riding characteristics....

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
Yes bro it is not the tyre like we buy whenever we want unlike other brands. But in chennai to my knowledge it is available through a direct dealer, I got the number by calling pirelli customer care 1800 toll free & the other is in GP road But he says "no manufacture warranty & it is imported, we all know about pirelli so warranty not required". the cost would be Rs.5300 onlyOriginally posted by Ezilkannan View PostThe thing about pirellis is, its very hard to get a pair of those here in India(atleast in Chennai it is hard to get).

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
It completely depends on your usage and caring of it. Mine lasted 23k with cleaning only at 3k gap.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostWhats the average life of the stock chain and sprocket?
It doesnt have one. It requires a special tool to remove and refit the chain. Called a pusher here. I don't know if that's the real name.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostI thought so too, btw does the R15 chain have a master link? I haven't found one on mine.
FZ chain sprocket kit costs around Rs.1500 while R15 v2's costs around Rs.3000.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

That's what I was trying to convey on my post you exactly spot on with it dude:thumbup:, its completely relay on usage. But I may probably not very sure on whether it will last till 30k, but 25k, its pretty much thereOriginally posted by Ivin View PostIt completely depends on your usage and caring of it. Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
My bike's transmissions has got rough of late. Gear shifts are clanky. I can hear the sound of the shifts from inside my helmet
. The oil is just around 1.5k kms old, I don't think its something to do with the oil. What would be the problem?
It used to be much smoother before.
could you send that so called dealers contact to me via pmOriginally posted by Suresh@yammie View Postit is available through a direct dealer, I got the number by calling pirelli customer care 1800 toll free & the other is in GP road But he says "no manufacture warranty & it is imported, we all know about pirelli so warranty not required". the cost would be Rs.5300 only

If its not old oil then its the chain... Are you lubing it at regular intervals?? Check the chain slack and lube it..Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostMy bike's transmissions has got rough of late. Gear shifts are clanky. I can hear the sound of the shifts from inside my helmet

Re: Yamaha YZF-R15 version 2.0
I lube and clean it regularly at every 500 kms. Strangely this happened after I recently did the chain maintenance.Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostIf its not old oil then its the chain...
