@Nonu sad to know about your crash. Hope you and your bike get well soon.
If you don't mind me asking, how exactly did this happen?Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Sorry to hear that bro...Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View PostPrice of head cowl, right side fairing and the fibre exhaust covering?
Hit an idiot on road.
Damaged the above.
Also the tyre-handle bar alignment is tilted to the right. Front forks damaged (?)
Heavy heartache.
please have your Handle-bar/Front fork alignment checked asap, its very critical -as that's what defines your bike handling (most of it)...
Riding this bike in traffic is different experience.. Should be very careful, not because we ride bad but others are just careless to bump-in..
I hope you get your stock soon..
A good rider is one who looks at both side of the road, even on One way!

I was at around 50kmph on a one way road ↑ right next to a flyover when an unnoticed guy from one of the underpass' turning points got onto the road horizontally ← right in the middle of the road. Thanx for the concern antz.bin. Though, highly, unexpected I really appreciate it.
@Daytona: yeah man, hoping for the same. Plus, dont think these folks even know what a dyno is. Wonder if it'll be a case of trial n error in correcting the alignment. Biking spirit's really low.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______

Holy shit! That sucks, man! But stay strong and optimistic! You can fix your bike. These things happen. No bike lives without any damage. I've been in a couple of accidents myself(Honda Dio, Pulsar 150... but still).. you'll be back on your feet soon.Originally posted by ABikerAtHeart View PostI was at around 50kmph on a one way road ↑ right next to a flyover when an unnoticed guy from one of the underpass' turning points got onto the road horizontally ← right in the middle of the road...

Feeling very bad
Bro ,
I feel very sorry for your aura
by the way , the positive from this incident is that you are safe,
thats more important and back to aura hows the response from dealer
thats the worst part now , they will take their own time in making it ready . so make sure that you screw them and get your aura back to form!! waiting to see you with smiles with ur aura again

anticipate & percieve
@ABikerAtHeart
I had learned the lesson hard way I was bed ridden for more than 6 months with my R15 V1 head on at 125KMPh ( god knows how i was saved). My biking confidence was so low after that accident that I rarely cross 40KMPH and scare by sight of tractor with trolly on road. But now I am back to normal.
Always ride at 80% of top speed which you can handle.May be that 20% reduced speed may not be 100+( in your case 50kmph) but you can handle emergency well.
And don't depend on reaction, always perceive & anticipate.
Road is full of shocks & surprises.
Happy recovery for both of you & your bike.Drive FAST but not Rough, Drive SAFE But not Slow.

thats a good point there, which even i do, and whenever while overtaking or rising the throttle i always make sure i look ahead n then do it, even if its a cross road or straight. especially while overtaking buses or trucks or autos. {in bangalore}.Originally posted by liionheart View Post@ABikerAtHeart

Heavy heartache.
A fellow v2 friend had a crash and well, barring the engine, everything is being changed for almost 60 % of the cost of ride.
This is all part of package and you should be happy that you are able to stand on your feet.
Just try have minimal gears while street riding and full gears during touring.
Respect the person who has seen dark side of this adventure we undertake and still rides on.
Ride Safe, wish you speedy recovery.Ride On,
