If you feel it looks good, go ahead, just it does not end up being an overdose of red on the machine.

    • boy...u r really tall... I am 5 feet 9 inch... and i own a karizma from 2004.
      just got a r15 v2...
surely u will find it uncomfortable.
IMHO a 6 feet can somehow manage with this bike but not more taller guys... then it will be kinda compromising on comfort.

All said... it doesnt make me miss my ZMA in performance...but it is not somethig which makes the ZMA feel obsolete...as power seems almost same... Power/weight : r15 wins and torque: ZMA rules.
Handling is something out of this world...I never realized technology in bikes until I rode my R15 v2. It goes where u want it to go.

      now i am 6'3" and 82kgs
and i find ZMA THE best ride for the above mentioned specs.

now i have taken a test ride (although a short one ) of the R15 v2.0 and found it fairly comfortable and near about same performance as my ZMA
but i am confused about how the bike would affect my wrists and spine in long rides

Also i had a bit of trouble with upshifting gears as the toe shifter is a bit too high for my toes, but the salesman said it can be lowered to a comfortable height, is it true??

Also i have heard that the tires on yamaha bikes tend to wear out very early, is it true??

So guys based on the above, what do you suggest, should i go for it????????

      • A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

          • One question!

            Guys,

I have observed the following action for the given sequences:

            1. Engine switch "ON"- Turn key ON -> Fuel pump action during self check. (Not sure if its fuel pump, but some noise and vibrations near the tank area!)

            2. Engine switch "OFF"- Turn key ON -> No fuel pump action during self check.

            Why/what does this happen/mean?

And is there any effect/damage by using either of the above methods?

            Thanks!
Money can get a 1942 BSA these days, but even Warren Buffet's whole Bank account can't get us our leg back!

I think/hope it is the engine cooling down.

Even during the first ride of the day, also at every start,
even after a ride, if I turn the key ON while the engine switch is ON, it has that action!
And with the switch OFF, no action!

I think the fuel is being pumped to the FI during self check itself.
But then, when you turn the Key ON while the Engine switch is OFF, and later when you turn ON the engine switch, NO ACTION! Does that mean that the fuel is pumped when you engage the starter?

This is observed only during the self check!

Relax, it is just an engine check. The time when you get to know this is no ordinary bike in laymen terms.

But, what/why it happens is what I wish to learn!

Take a ride of both and then decide.
The bike on which you feel comfortable. Do not bother how you look, important is how you feel.

Well, the bike just checks if everything is fine. If it is too heated up it cools it down. If its cold, it works on bringing more fuel in for a smooth start and things.
