  • Hello . Anyone Clarify my doubts Please ..

    Hello Guys .

As I'm Newbie to this website as well as for BIKING and i had ridden my friends bike rarely So I Need your help guys .

    My Biggest Question .

How to attain Speeds ? I mean if i give full throttle , decrease it and again give Full throttle and by continuing the same process-> Will this type of Riding will directly affect the Engine Life and do it make the bike feel sluggish after completion of 10,000 Km ? If this type of riding is wrong means , Any one please Text here to how to attain speeds and how to ride properly .

    Few More Doubts -

    1. If i properly maintain my Run-in period when i get my First bike New R15 V 2.0 , What will be the effect that i can feel ?

    2. Can i expect Constant 35 km/liter of mileage when driving @ 6 - 9 k RPM's [ City Rides ] ?

    3. If i keep Rev. the bike [ for example between 6 - 7.5 k RPM , 1) Will the Engine gets affected or any drop in mileage ?

    4. Will this bike can touch 80 - 100 km/hr speeds in doubles without any Struggling ?

    5. Where can i put petrol for my Bike ? For Ex: Bharath petroleum , Indian Oil or Shell ?

I request any one to clarify my doubts , As i'm new to biking , i would like to learn many stuff .

    Cheers S.V.Prasad

Ron - i read that the unique number is the number against which the bike is alloted to you by Yamaha, you claim your bike against that number

Am no specialist, but as this is your first bike.
I would suggest to go for step by step increment.

Let's say choose 6-7K segment first, be comfortable, then gradually move to 8-9K.
If it is below the red line, the engine is safe, even after 10K Km if of course you maintain it well.

There is no harm in ripping, the full throttle term you used, but you should be comfortable, it is a pocket rocket. One second you feel like a 150 cc and 7K +, you are flying. Learn to tame it and ride safe.

        Few More Doubts -

        1. If i properly maintain my Run-in period when i get my First bike New R15 V 2.0 , What will be the effect that i can feel ?

Well, not sure how to explain this. But it is good for your engine so follow as they say in the manual.
Proper run in ensures full output of the bike, in case you want to test it, ride a friend's R15 which you consider is going good and see if your's is upto the level.

        2. Can i expect Constant 35 km/liter of mileage when driving @ 6 - 9 k RPM's [ City Rides ] ?

It won't be constant , but as far as am aware it won't disappoint you on this front. Nevertheless, mileage is not an criteria for power segment machines.

        3. If i keep Rev. the bike [ for example between 6 - 7.5 k RPM , 1) Will the Engine gets affected or any drop in mileage ?

Nope, not with this one. . It is the high rev specialist.

        4. Will this bike can touch 80 - 100 km/hr speeds in doubles without any Struggling ?

That was a bit insulting. :P. Just joking
You would love it. Believe me, you would.

        5. Where can i put petrol for my Bike ? For Ex: Bharath petroleum , Indian Oil or Shell ?

Shell or ask around for the trusted pump in your area.

I request any one to clarify my doubts , As i'm new to biking , i would like to learn many stuff .

We all are here for the same purpose, welcome.

P.S - Before the you learn to rip, do learn to brake.
The latter being the more important and tough technique.

                      It is semi-synthetic right?

I've learnt that, putting mineral oil now (260 kms on the ODO) for the next ~700 kms would be good for proper running in!

At 1000 kms on the ODO, I shall switch back to SS..
Experts say Mineral, and manual says SS..
                      I dont understand a thing!

                      Kindly Help!

Get a Mineral change <if possible search for GULF 20w40> for now before first service.
The SS guys would use Semi Synthetic then and every service henceforth.

Then if you are good with full synthetic, can go for it 5K onward.

I already have my bike , it is may be dealer or region specific. Here in Pune there is nothing of that sorts.

LOL , i forgot about the braking . Yeah , first i will learn to brake then as you say step by step i will learn how to ride , tackle if in case some one or some vehicle suddenly performs a Circus in the middle of the roads ..

Thank you very much for providing me some valuable information ..

That was a bit insulting. :P. Just joking
You would love it. Believe me, you would.

Um , Sorry . Why i pointed out this question because as the pillion seat is slightly raised and the when we ride with a pillion his shoulder will be near to the top of the Riders head . So in that case after we attain 60 km/hr or above the winds will disturb the pillion and We have to give little more throttle so that our bike can attain the desired speed [ 80-100 km/hr ].. Am i right ? Correct me if i'm wrong .

I hope you can understand what i'm trying to explain ..

                            Cheers S.V.Prasad

Well, lot of physics you are applying here. Nice.

Did a 115 Kmph very smoothly today afternoon in city with a pillion and the only one having problem was the pillion. :P

                              Hope that answers your query.
