  • R15 fuel tank assembly.

I removed my fuel tank in hurry but I forgot which pipe is for which connection...I have removed fuel pump...there is one pipe which fits tank but it goes down directly out...
Will there be any fuel leakage.
And there is a small hole in fuel pump...is it for sucking fuel in ?
Also fuel pump connection socket got broken by mistake. Can it be fixed somehow. Replacement needs so much cost and big replacement.
Please somebody help with detailed information.

    • Getting Problem with Powertronic ECU in my R15 V2.0

I have Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 and i have installed Powertronic ECU in my Bike and i am getting problem with ECU that when i start to rev the engine to check RPM then it creates problem on 9K RPM and getting fluctuate and goes to again 8K RPM and again raising.. same problem having while riding, when i go beyond 8K RPM it again starts fluctuate and i can't go beyond 8K RPM.
I thought this may be problem with Power failure due to stock battery and HIDs and Spark Plug.
I changed HID to LED, Stock Battery to 5AH Amaron and with Iridium Spark plug (CR8EIX).

Now, problem quiet resolved and RPM increased to 10K in idle position and 9K in Riding position. But, fluctuation problem is still there.
I have tried with my two friend's R15 who have the same things installed as mentioned above and in their bike, it doesn't create any problem and revs smoothly thoroughly at 12K RPM.

      Please help me on this.

You should have left these works for experienced people or at least should have looked into videos and threads about removing pump and injector here in xbhp itself.
These are very expensive and delicate parts. Hope you have somehow fixed everything and the bike runs.

        cheers

I have already fitted the tank.
Now just the power button is not working. Do you have any idea. Supply is reaching red kill switch and light switch but power switch not working.

I have contacted them too. They are saying to send device to them, they will check and will let me know.
But the problem is.. it's having odd behavior in my bike, but runs fantastic in other bike..
I have also tried with all the mappings.

So you have v2, but which year? From 2014 onwards the v2 has o2 sensor.

                Hi all..
I have been facing issues with my 2016 r15. In the morning when i switch on the ignition the orange error light starts blinking.. After starting the bike the orange light is constantly lit on and switches off when the bike is in neutral.. Plus this week the bike has starting to miss on the throttle this happens only twice or thrice.. Please help on what could be the error.. I will also be taking the bike to the svc.

Ask them to connect to FI station and check what the error code is. If FI station is unable to find, it might be ECU malfunction, you need to swap it with another 2016 R15's ECU and see. Have seen many 2016 R15's with ECU issue(Just shows false alarms on meter).

                    Hi,

This can be due to a multitude of reasons.
Like Ivin said you have to find the error code first but there is an easier way than he mentioned. When the orange light blinks, count the number of slow blinks and fast blinks. The error code will be slow*10 + fast. For example , if it blinks slow 4 times and fast 6 times, error code is 46.

From your description, it seems like error 46 only. I had the same problem. If it is, there is something wrong with the electrical system possibly at the charging end. Use a multimeter on the battery terminals while the bike is in idle and the voltage should be around 13-14V. On raising throttle to 5krpm, it shouldn't go beyond a maximum of 16V. If either of these conditions are not satisfied, your rectifier/alternator/ignition coil may be malfunctioning. If both these conditions are satisfied, you may have faulty earthing or wiring.

Please do all fixes in the presence of an expert, treat this post as a guide only. Also, let us know if the error code is something else.

                          Hello guys,
                          Need a small clarification..
Today when I was riding my bike suddenly I saw the Engine Warning Light was glowing without any blinking and I immediately stopped the bike aside and turned it off!
When I turned the ignition on again the Warning Light came up in *5 slow blinks and 5 fast blinks*!
And after sometime it went off...
I didn't understand what the code was and I immediately took the bike to service centre, where I asked them to check it with diagnostic tool.
But they said we couldn't see the Warning Light blinking in your bike now and so we can't use the diagnostic tool since we already have a lot of bikes to deliver! (What a lethargic reply it was![emoji35]) And I just returned back.. No idea what just happened in my bike..!!
Also looked into the manual, but nowhere mentioned about these error codes!

P.S: I just changed the fuel pump assembly in warranty one week back, because of the fuel level sensor fault!

Please help me out with this!
                          Thanks!

46 means electrical issues ranging from faulty RR, poor earthing etc.

Faulty RR is way too much headache in the post O2 sensor models. Almost all has the issue, due to the wierd positioning of the same. High time for Yamaha to issue a recall for the same . RR should be the issue here as well.
