the weight limit is basically for off roading / rough riding. you need not worry much for normal commute with family on proper roads.

Thakn you hari sir for your advice and anyway i'm very careful rider when it comes to city riding i usually don't do rough riding.. i keep my machine between 50-55 kmph in 5k rpm. i have decided to keep the tyre pressure 23 for both tires for single riding and 23 for front and 30 for rear tires when riding with pillion.. is this judgement right?

The quality is pretty ok but seems like it was assembled in a hurry. Drain pipe under the tank from the fuel filler cap was hanging & not connected. Engine mounts were not torqued tight. The side cover screws were super tight :roll eyes:! Not bothered to such an extent as I am pulling the bike apart in a few days, but for people planning to purchase one, do a thorough check before you take delivery of one.
Actually, leave the drain pipe disconnected, it invariably gets pinched, and stagnant water in that drain causes it to corrode.

You are right about the engine mounts, I realised mine were loose too when I removed the crash guard.

You can also remove the footpeg rubbers, a 10mm bolt underneath is all you have unfasten, to reveal a set of nice serrated footpegs.

You might want to adjust the handle bar position, I tilted mine slightly forward, made it nicer to stand on the footpegs.

on my customise list: remove faux additional mudguard (look underneath the rear mudguard), indicators, need the gear lever to come outward, pillion footpegs are an eysore (straight off a splendor)

Last but most important, the front brake feel on the bikes here was pathetic - a full strip and reassembly of the entire system has made it sharper and reassuring.

                      Thats good information, thanks

I am planning to get these turn signals for the rear

Just to clarify that these are aftermarket universal turn signals, as got a few pms asking if they were oem.

Managed to get the smog pump out, in the process of fabricating a block off plate for the exhaust port. It was a 30 min job to get everything out.

First step was to get the side covers, seat and tank off. Then this pipe comes off from the air box (It will have to be plugged later):

This is what we are trying to get rid off, the air suction valve

                      Two bolts and its off

Two bolts holding the pipe to the cam cover

This small pipe comes off from the intake manifold

                      Thats the whole assembly off

                      Need to plug this

                      and this

                      Intake port plugged

Will post some pics of the air box plug and the cam cover plug tomorrow after I fab it. Remember your warranty will go for a toss if you do this, do it at your own risk !
BTW I've managed to get hold of the NXR 150 parts booklet, so if anyone wants a copy, pm me.

                          • knucle up

i would like to know is there any practicality of having knuckle guard for city and high road riding? i don't do offroading as it's not possible in and around my town, so is it advisable to fit knuckle guard only to show off as i will be using my machine only in and around the city?A pair of knuckle guard costs Rs80 a pair here.
