at what rpm level it attains 100...??? and I am sure you must have attained 115 at around 9000rpm which is well above its red line....correct me if I am wrong. one more thing I dont know why its speedo shows red line at 8000rpm whereas other bikes with same engine like hunk, trigger, dazzy, cbz, unicorn etc shows red line at 9000+ rpm....

well i was so engrossed or rather say so crouched that i didn't notice at what rpm the top speed is attained and for the as last part of your question i guess the internal tuning and gearing of the engine differs from other bikes having same engine....

HI Guys... for last couple of rides my bike keep shutting down on signals and in traffic. Adjusted idel rpm to near 1400 but problem persists. Dose it has some thing to do with clutch? Can anyone help? Also after last service I feel my impulse struggeling after 4500 and 5000 rpms on 4th or 5th gear. Confused what could be the reason. They tuned engine last time. I am thinking of changing my service centre this time. Suggestions are welcome.

                Fellow Bikers,

Just a week back got my red impulse and it's just awesome. I never thought that this bike would produce this much power in its segment.

I took this bike in my hometown and unfortunately I couldnt bring this in any Parcel service. So on a very first day I drove this bike on the highways for 370 mms varying speed between 60 - 100.

Not sure what are the consequences I should face now. Infancy my registration isn't complete but my first service is nearing. I'm a new bee on the motor cycles please pour in experts advice.

                Cheers

                  Hello There,

I am searching accessories for my red impulse say Knuckle/Hand guard, engine guard. Can someone please suggest some shop names in Bangalore or online stores where I can buy it. Appreciate your help on this.

                  Cheers

                    Hi Ganesh,

Hearty congrats for ur new Impulse, I got one a month back, a black one. It really is an amazing bike.

It is not good for bike to race it above 50kmph at least for first1000kms. I did 700kms yet i have not raced it above 50.

Today is the first service of my Impulse n they have already screwed it. It developed starting problem, they cleant spark plug, filter, every wire joint, CDI n carburator too but still no help.

I was skeptical abt service center guys' experience with this bike and they did disappoint me big big time.

Im still waiting for them to fix it. I hope this does not screw the mileage of my bike.(i got 61kmpl on first fill)

See the image, my bike came in only for service.

Buddy, I was facing the same issue...they changed the spark plug and it fixed the problem immediately.

Please check with new spark plug - try Bosch or Mico. (factory fitted r NKG, some cheap component)

This is absolutely true even I experiencing it. I doubt on idling but as you guys say though after adjusting the idling still the issue exists now I'm wondering.

Burnoutdee, thanks for the reply. Also do you know any online store who sell knuckle guard. I tried it in hero impulse spares centre, Bangalore but no stick. If you any place please suggest.

                            Cheers

                            • Does working on an already clean Carburetor reduce/increase mileage?

                              Hello Friends,

I want to confirm if opening the carburetor will reduce/increase mileage or there's some "Setting" which hampers the mileage?

I am very particular about mileage on my bikes and Im never ready to let mechanics touch the carb unless required. Today due to
an unfortunate incident of my spark plug goin bad after a wash, mechanic opened the carb to check if there's water in it. There was
no water in it but he cleant it nevertheless.

I was getting 61KMPL on my Impulse, now that the carb has been opened I doubt that I will get the same mileage, I know I might be
worried for no reason but I would like to clear my doubt.

                              Please advice.

                              Thanks & Regard,
                              burnoutdee.

Dunno about "pouring" expert advice But it is essential you pour in some new engine oil. Also keep your rpms low henceforth at least till 1k kilometers.
