      hi viks..
dear i stay in mumbai. kindly tell me which acs you prefer. I head that sound on my bike too but in this second service they managed to reduce it. I would take my bike to a different acs for overall experience. Guys in acs near my place did not wash my bike and lube my chain till i insisted them to clean and lube it. otherwise they are good and ready to help every time.

So I need to increase size of carb jets, or upgrade the carb to pulsar 220?? maybe ? Also looking at exhaust upgrade to let the gases from the extra air and fuel burnt to escape the engine easily.
I don't believe simply removing the airbox cover warrants a jetting change. Running a little richer should do the trick - maybe a half turn of the AFR afa Fuel screw? Carb changes are complicated things - in it's mostly stock state why would the engine require a bigger carb? If at all you want to upgrade the carb then it is probably better to buy an after market something.

Awesome, Shadowz, thanks! I shall try this out as well. It will be a challenge getting this done outside since there is no main stand and I loathe the idea of visiting a showroom's service center, they're mostly terrible here in Hyderabad.

I have an RJays paddock stand; but then it props up the bike from the rear and relies on the front wheel taking some of the weight/providing balance. I shall have to explore options of jacking up the bike frame if I want to D.I.M The second stand in the link below is what I'd like to try out:

Bike Stand. Build Your Own. - TWT Forums

My bike had it's pilot jet clogged right from the beginning and the nincompoop showroom mechanics could do nothing to sort out the slow revving engine that continued to rev for a while after the throttle was released. The guy cleaned the carb after I insisted but did not clean the pilot jet well enough. I cleaned up the carb with carb spray and the pilot jet with a wire today and the bike feels much better and revs more freely. Normal I guess but I'm avoiding revving past 5k rpm.

Good suggestion. Please help me locate the AFR screw, with pics preferably. Can't find the darned thing.
Carb will need tinkering mainly because of uneven fuelling throughout the different throttle positions. In the present condition of my bike, response is good till around 1/2 throttle, but the mixture is rather lean after that. That can be solved mainly by changing the main jet.

I went Rehan Racing Plaza Maviya Nagar yesterday, I told them about the problem he said the cone set it loose from the bottom side I got it done. Now there is no sound at all. The unqualified Hero mechanics cannot understand this problem.

Hello guys! Please suggest me good engine oil for Impulse. Right now i am using Shell Semi-synthetic 10W40 but I am not satisfied with it on long run, always after continuous ride of around 150 kms, tappets are getting loose and creating tick-tick sound. Is it advisable to use fully-synthetic or semi-synthetic is good enough? If nothing worked out, then I will be going back to mineral oil :-(

Could you please explain what exactly was done to tighten the cones from the bottom? As far as I know, cones can only be adjusted from the top and there is no provision for any adjustment at the bottom end.

If you watched this being done, I'd love to know how.
