    Aapko bhi mubarakaanji...new battery ki.

Panic breaking on every bike is risky. The rear brake on Impulse is practically useless at any speed, it's too spongy n front break will lock the wheel n fall is assured. My bike has taken 2 falls due to lack of breaking. So now I use rear brake n just pump the front brake to avoid wheel lock n skid.
Also in city i dont ride above 50 to avoid urgent braking.

      Thankyou hai jiiiiiiii....

Yes you are right. I too had falls due to lack of breaking. On highways you know a single mistake can cost life especially when roads are full of fools who will overtake you without a horn and from left and that too when you are overtaking a big bus or truck. Where you will try to maintain a safe distance from others some stupid tempo wallah will emerge in your lane without signal and that too so slow that you are left with no option then to break hard to avoid kissing his ass.

Willbe going for 1st service in few days even service center person was also insisting on Hero's oil . I think you changed your spark plug to NGK CR8EIX . I am also thinking for same change . I hope "thak thak" sound also get rid off .

I was in two mind b4 buying Impulse but due to these post only I went for it.

I cannot assure you but try tightening the 'T' of the handle. Worked for me.

Rear brake sucks big time, but applying proper front disk and rear has saved me many times. The trick is to grip the tank and applying front disk. If you learn how to do a stoppie, i bet ur panick braking even at 60 will not lead to fishtail. Though i dont mean that you will end up doing a stoppie, but learning stoppie increases your braking and judgement skills...

Even I get that sound sometimes but only in certain type of jerks not always...so im not plagued by it. If its fixed then its ok if not then leave it alone unless its hampering the handling of ur bike. Dont pay attention to it n enjoy ur ride. I advise u against putting a different filter just for the sake of better sound n pickup, in the long run it might hurt the engine's smoothness. My ride is silky smooth, I have only added Iridium plug besides that its complete stock....yeah, dont go for lube spray for chain, get the HP's Gear Drive EP90 oil(pic below). Oil ur chain with it n I guarantee u that it will make feel as if u r riding ur bike on a carpet, its that smooth.

Oil the chain after every 500Kms or whenever it seems to b dry. You have made the right choice of going for this bike, to maintain it u should learn basics of maintaining a bike because many times u will not be satisfied with the ASC's work on ur bike. Dont leave ur bike alone even in ASC, that's what I do, keep good contact with ASC manager n the mechanic who's gonna work on ur bike.

P.S: Make sure they change the oil in ur bike only after placing it on Paddock stand n not on side stand.

90 No Oil is a really bad idea ! You may feel it makes the ride smooth but in reality Oil attracts dust and dust particles which will mess up the O-rings big time . There are good Chain Sprays in the market , starting form the basic WD40 to Motul to Wuerth . All these sprays lubricate without attracting dust . There are some Silicon based sprays that even repel water . I think Abro is one of them .

That's the myth these chain lubrication makers thrive upon.

I have used sprays too n they also attract equal if not more amount of muck because they have adhesive in it. WD40 is not even a proper lube, in fact its a degreaser as it tend to dry out the grease/oil which is inside the chain links which make chain squeak even if it's lubed outside, please do check before u suggest anything in forums. Motul is a giant brand with visibility and that does not make it a great lubricant, there are others too.

The reasons I suggested 90W oil:

                    1. Its cost effective.
                    2. Tried n tested personally.
                    3. Easy to clean simply use dry cloth whereas to wipe off the sticky lube one has to use diesel/kerosene which again is not good for links if used regularly.
                    4. Even if u use the best lubricant u have to clean the chain n lube it at every 400-500KMs n spend more.

I dont have an answer to ur statement "There are some Silicon based sprays that even repel water" because I have never come across any chain lube or 90W oil that attracts water.

As a matter of fact, WD-40 will actually strip away any existing lubricant and leave your drive-train dry – metal on metal. Basically, spraying this stuff on your chain is worse than using no lubricant at all! - See more at: http://www.bikehacks.com/bikehacks/2...our-chain.html

Seems like you are an Ulta Matka Burnout . I am quite sure you have little or no experience and are in the experementing stage .The link you have mentioned holds true for bicycles . The Impulse is a Motorcycle . And , If you were right then ALL Moto GP machines would stop using the above mentioned chain Sprays and start using 90 number Oil for their machines during the races . God speed to you .

I did not insist anyone to stop using the chain sprays n only use 90W oil. It was just a friendly suggestion. Besides, that the link that I shared was ofcors for bicycle chains, u must have read there that WD40 is not good for lubricating even a chain of cycle and you were suggesting it to lubricate a MOTORCYCLE chain, brainy. U drop big names, u talk abt MotoGP - wow!! it does show that you got great knowledge of motorcycling but over here I was just sharing my personal experience n tidbits of motorcycling; I think that's what we all are here for in the first place.

I advise u if u dont like what I say please dont quote me n dont use such statements again, i dont appreciate it.

                              Hi,

I tried to find about it online but one source mentioned "The bike comes with low maintenance sealed endless drive chain."

Tumbucked2, dude chain sprays are practically useless in monsoons, 3 showers and they are gone, unless you apply it everyday, and if you do so, utne paise me toh ek naya chain sprocket aa jayega.
Though chain sprays like WRTH are tge best for use in summer and winter
Oil does not attract dirt, grease does.
And you talking about WD40, why don't you use it everytime for lubing and tell us what happens to your O rings.
WD40 is okay for linked type chains and has to be avoided for O rings.
And please don't use ulta matka and words like that, you all are my brothers, one sick word for a brother and we all rush in. We also have many more words in our dictionary to use, but we know what is decency in a public forum.
That makes the two of us.
You talking about moto gp, tell me how long is a moto gp race, not more than a day right. They lube the bike every for race and if you can afford to use such sprays everyday, then my friend you can buy a new bike altogether if you stop caring about the chain.
We know what is best. But we also know where we stand and what is the length of our pockets.
