Aah if they really launch it soon at least it might solve parts problem for us. It's soooo difficult to find even a turn indicator for impulse.Originally posted by tej1 View Posti am not sure but many people are talking the sc guys also told me hero is launching a new impulse an improved version

I suppose there are multiple precious inert metals(Au, Pt, Rh) in that CatCon, what are your plans for it?Originally posted by Ankitvile View PostRemoved the Catalytic converter(will plant a couple of plants to make up for it

Ohh !! And this might piss you off a little more but...I own
1998 Yamaha Rx135
2000 Yamaha RXZ
2000 Yamaha Rx 135 5speed
And a RD under restoration....So err...lots of two stroke smoking barrels there. Sorry im making this world a living polluting hell.
And the exhaust note is almost same as before..."NO LOUD SOUND". The central baffle tube running across the end can's length will be fabricated and replaced with another one. So the sound might revert back to normal/stock.
I tried the exhaust today on an Impulse with a Zma's engine on it. A 223cc mill isnt making a lot of sound so a 150cc will do even less. This impulse was running on a custom fabricated exhaust which was pretty darn loud (which we were hating btw since a long time) then back to impulse's stock exhaust on that impulse with a Zma's mill has a very timid note and free flowing.
Will try the exhaust on my Impulse 150cc mill at high altitudes.
And err....No plans for the Pd Rh Pt (Untill i find time enough for an aqueous room temperature synthesis of 'em)...anyways. No plans as per-se, ideas are welcomed though.Last edited by Ankitvile; 12-08-2014, 11:21 PM.Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
Well you can guestimate the price-worth of metals inside w.r.t the MRP of muffler/silencer. Just don't treat it as regular iron/steel scrap; there should at least 1k worth metals inside, hence bargain accordingly.Originally posted by Ankitvile View Post...

I've 0 {zero} knowledge in recycling/extracting valuables from scrap.

Good collection there. My objection was not towards polluting. It was towards feeling proud and doing nothing about it. But to each his own I guess.

Re: Hero Impulse ownership experience
HI there!!!!!!!
One of my friends bought Hero Impulse in Pune (it was lying with some dealer in remote area out of Pune)
The ASC informed him that the tank is 9ltr while the spec sheet maintains to be 11.1 ltr.
When he filled up fuel it showed to be 9ltr.
Did any one of you have faced such issue? does anyone know how to approach this issue?

I think the tank is more then 9 liters, coz the last time I tanked up from empty to full it was around 900rs... Sorry can't remember exactly how many liters it was, but for sure more then 10!Originally posted by sidmclaren View PostHI there!!!!!!!

Get the tank looked at, maybe it already had some petrol in it? They generally deliver the bike with couple of liters in the tank.
