Chandu sir - Congrats on the Duke!! (I know waiting until 23rd is agonizing)

Rim Tape / Number plate holder etc would take a couple of months to be available is what I heard. No idea on the cost though.

For one I am patiently waiting for the sliders and rim tape too!

Nice video Mr. Pawan. Where is the off roading area seen in the video?

On another topic, just came back from KTM service center (Kirti Nagar, Delhi).

          1. Guys were friendly and helpful. Even though there were other people who had reached before me, the Duke was given special treatment. 3-4 guys got together and started working on it.

          2. Got the brake lever replaced. Cost of new brake lever (incl. of taxes) = Rs. 253.

          3. Chain slack adjuster nut was very tight, due to which the gears weren't engaging properly. Got it rectified and lubed the chain.

          4. Repaired the right leg guard. The top mounting bolt had bent and the bottom mounting bolt had broken. Bottom bolt assembly wasn't available in spares, so, fixed the leg guard with the top bolt only till the other bolt assembly is available.

          5. Cost of labour (incl. of taxes) = Rs. 165

Total cost = Rs. 418. Quite happy with the way the job was carried out.

I am more than happy with the level a few mm above the MIN. I haven't seen the level go down. I haven't seen the engine over heat. Radiator fan runs at regular intervals and dissipates the heat away. So - My thighs get fried at regular intervals
DITTO :-p except I'm very paranoid and I needed the level to be at MAX! just in case ;-)

Hey Thanks for that Shubz will definitely count on u for on demand info on the bike :-D ...I filled it with the coolant mix at just below the MAX mark and I did notice a similar
leakage like when I got the bike with the Coolant at the middle of MIN & MAX...rode around at night engine felt good and didn't observe the usual rapid heating...will check the level of coolant in the sunlight today...didn't get to see it coz the streetlights in my area were flickering! ...will report back with my findings post an evening ride today :-)

...P.S Shubz just confirm what coolant they use in the bike on delivery coz my friend told me veedol but it should really be castrol ...I hope he was wrong about it though :-D
Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

Damn I would've paid the fine rather than letting a cop ride My new KTM :-/ ...I got caught at a Naka-Bandhi by cops the first day I got my KTM, get this!!!...for riding with the pilot light on!!! They said it was an offence and no vehicle was allowed to have the headlights on during the day except for a signal light...then I tried to explain to him it was not the headlight but just a pilot light and that wasn't condsidered a headlight!!! but they still refused to let me go...then I asked them what about the AUDI's and Mercedes rolling around town with their day time running lights on permanently? But they could not comprehend what I was trying to tell them...And finally to prevent them from confiscating my licence I had to pay the fine of Rs.100 and obviously they refused to give a Paoti...I f***in hate cops!!! Next time I'll take a U turn instead of donating to those Retards!!!

                        • Run in period over!!!! :d

ok so it got serviced yesterday.... answering queries that fellow dukers have, the service HAS made the engine smoother... the gears also shift smoother...the "loose chain" that most of us had has also been rectified... even the ride seems better now...

due to a family emergency, couldnt take it out for a good ride last night, but will be doin that this evening .... stay tuned!!!

PS- whats the best way to record 0-60kmph times? i cant afford a helmet cam and pillions ruin the experience... advice?

PPS- that seat IS hard man, we need a cushiony cover for it

I do agree with u, I also wouldnt have given, but tat stretch of supercool road is like 1.5kms away from my home and I call tat road "dukes Playground" so i ride it oftenly, but on saturdays there are interceptors and I had to build up a rapo with them so that next time they wont catch me, I even explained I cd come to stand still in under 3secs even at tat speed...and moreover the supercop was from my native and he spoke in a frenly manner...so I cdn say "NO" so easily...

Next time "Fine" it will be...no TDs ....
