Also have you crossed 200kms on ODO? Do the tires feel better and more grippy now that they are worn in?

AH!!! Well as long as its the first and last time :-p ...Seriously be careful who you give it to...coz even after riding it for the past 3 days now, I feel a bit scared while its moving...so if you give it to someone who hasn't ridden it before they may not be able to handle the power or the handling characteristics.Originally posted by Rajathslr View Post

Actually I v done 390kms on ODO, and tyres do skidd wen I brake sharply, I think its the way i brake is the problem, i try applying both at the same time, and i hv seen back wheel sliding off the line, It will b in control but somehow i feel its not the way it has to be....
Pls let me know if this is the correct way to brake or ....??

Yes you are braking the correct way although I am also facing the skidding issue on some surfaces other than tarmac like those cobble stone roads for example where they use tiles...those are slippery in the rains for sure...so don't worry its a common thing thats happening to me tooOriginally posted by Rajathslr View PostActually I v done 390kms on ODO, and tyres do skidd wen I brake sharply, I think its the way i brake is the problem, i try applying both at the same time, and i hv seen back wheel sliding off the line, It will b in control but somehow i feel its not the way it has to be....

When going to Kirti Nagar from Mayapuri, you'll pass SD Public School (Google Maps) on your left. A couple of hundred meters from the school, you'll see IDUS Furniture on your right. The by-lane tuning right immediately after IDUS furniture will bring you to a board with "Bagga Link Service" written on it (take the first left after turning right onto the by-lane if you can't see the board). KTM service is on the left hand side.Originally posted by spiralbrain View PostCongrats, does not sound expensive. where about is it in Kirti Nagar?

Got my bike yesterday.......
and she's a beauty

1st Impressions
1) Handles very well, lots of power and looks gorgeous
2) Tendency to skid if brake suddenly.(40km/hr+)
3) Shifting to neutral wasn't easy at times.
4) Back seat is terrible. Can't sit for more than 30 minutes at a stretch

Does only the rear tire skid while braking or both of them?
If it is just the rear tire skidding, you might try using the front brake more on tarmac/concrete (upto 70% front bias) and the rear brake only if you are riding in wet/gravel/off road.
If however it is the front which skids, then my friends, KTM has got the tires all wrong.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I am finally back from my long evening ride with the DUKE...having finally topped up my coolant to the MAX I found there is still some overflow over the radiator cover near the leg guard and but only very little as in a few drops...but overall the bike never overheated as much as it did the first day when the coolant was between MIN & MAX...
Also check this out...
apparently that residue on the radiator cover on this DUKE 125 also shows some radiator fluid had leaked out...so is this a common issue?Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

Have you removed the saree guard?Originally posted by Rajathslr View PostIts ONLY the rear wheel, and it skids slightly to the right...everytime i brake sharply...
Of course there is a way to rectify this (the pulling to right, not the skidding). You will probably have to get wheel balancing done. AARGEE can guide us better on this topic I think.Advice is a form of nostalgia.

It happened with me too, twice now.. the rear wheel does skid to the right if breaks are applied a bit urgently.Originally posted by Rajathslr View PostIts ONLY the rear wheel, and it skids slightly to the right...everytime i brake sharply...
So is this normal. ?When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D

Does the saree guard has anything to do with this ?Originally posted by antz.bin View PostHave you removed the saree guard?

cause I removed mine the very first day I got her. And also the tire skids only if I use the rear break more than the front so shall I still get her checked for wheel balance ?
