Phew.. Thanks Shubz; Sorry Josh ifa i got u worried. Have been waiting for this bike for long and this being my first bike. Am just in love with this bike, i just cant expect a European maker to give problems (That is excluding Italians )

this was my check list for delivery. had put it on my phone as a pdf:

check:

documents:

• manual
• toolkit
• key card

on the bike:

• any scratches
  
• any broken parts
• odo reading
• lights all working
• horn working
• brakes working
• tyre pressure
• all liquids levels (coolant, oli)
• under pillion seat compartment
• battery connectors are covered with protectors (where not covered in my case)
• check chain , if to loose or tight

for sure this check list might be incomplete, but that's what i had.
maybe other riders can add so this becoems handy for anyone taking delivery.

Sorry for long post, but cant stop myself posting these.

I am 25 and this is my first bike ever, in-fact this is first bike in my family. I don't have much experience in riding bikes. Till date have not driven more than 200km in my life on a geared vehicle, although i own a Kinetic Nova which I have driven extensively. Few months back i.e. around December, i came across this bike on internet and I immediately fell in love with the bike. Soon found that it was going to be released on 3 Jan 2012. Got excited and started talks at home regarding bike purchase. Got lot of resistance from home. There were arguments like "U haven't driven much,What will u do with such a high power bike", "After all its a 2 wheeler, why you want to go for such a expensive bike". Upon seeing the pics of bike my parents said that "its a racing bike as there is too much clearance between pillion seat and rear Tyre.":S and etc etc. The postponement of bike release and the discussion threads of this bike on xbhp and other forums really helped me a lot in gaining the information required for buttering and informing my parents. Finally after (2)months of persistence i got my parents agreement and they were happy too upon finding that this bike is really gr8 and offers so much compared to other bikes. After getting nod from parents i was double excited.

Now finally the wait is over. I went to chennai KTM showroom to collect the bike today evening..................
