Guys I've just noticed coolant dripping from my Duke. Has anyone else had this problem? I did read that there was a similar situation at one of the showrooms during test drives. The showroom covered it up by saying the bike needed a top-up. Probiking workshop it will be tomorrow...

I am put up at Ulsoor. Must be my luck. Have yet to see one. We usually do a gtg every sunday. Should join us, those interested. Love to have a Duke along in the group.Originally posted by Shubz View PostRon - which part of Bangalore do you live in? I can say you sure can get a glimpse of the Duke in Banashankari, BTM Layout, Airport Road, Outer Ring road, Thippasandra, Koramangala - to name a few of the Duke owners who live and ride in the areas.

This is strange, its on the floor, visible from inside the spoiler that it dripped. a few drops on the ignition coil. The spoiler on the front also has drops. I suspect it could be an overflow, there is no manifold leak. The coolant tank shows level above the max level. Will wait for a workshop trip..Originally posted by Rajathslr View PostCan u post a pic of it, or atleast brief us the spot wher its leaking from...

Would love to join you sir!Originally posted by ronthedon View PostI am put up at Ulsoor. Must be my luck. Have yet to see one. We usually do a gtg every sunday. Should join us, those interested. Love to have a Duke along in the group.

Can you please tell us what is the level of coolant in the tank? It should be 3-4 mm above the Min mark. I remember this issue was reported in the Duke 125 page of FB but changing an O ring solved the issue and I was told this issue was taken care of in the 200. Strange! Let me check with my sources.Originally posted by spiralbrain View PostThis is strange, its on the floor, visible from inside the spoiler that it dripped. a few drops on the ignition coil. But I would need your input on the coolant level please. Thanks.
Edit: Oops I did notice you say "above the max level" - so you have answered your question!
Please maintain 3-4 mm above Min level mark. Who filled in so much coolant?

No,Sir. I'm blinded by my love for the flickability of Splendor.Originally posted by Shubz View PostSir - are you saying Duke's got the flickability of a Splendor? You are surely blinded by your love for FZ
So be it!
As what I mentioned once earlier, one Duke owner had called the Duke200 a Splendor on steroids. Super light weight+super powerful=deadly combination.
I'm only wondering what the Duke350 would be like, the 4stroke version of the legendary RD350 and better maybe?

Yes it is an overflow, have been looking for a solution as Duke125 owners mention this too. what O-ring is it? the one one the cap? If it were a line leak coolant would spew out. ill clean it tomorrow and take some coolant out. I hate dealing with coolant, its the most poisonous compound in automobiles.Originally posted by Shubz View PostCan you please tell us what is the level of coolant in the tank? Just forget I even mentioned some ring!Originally posted by spiralbrain View PostYes it is an overflow, have been looking for a solution as Duke125 owners mention this too. what O-ring is it? the one one the cap? Simply bring down the level and regain your peace of mind!
You didn't tell us who filled it to the brim. I had taken my Duke to the A.S.S to check on the coolant level and this is how I learnt - 3-4 mm above min level is what is recommended.

@ Shubz and other owners
request you to please answer my query, as this could be my next and probably last bike.
Pasting my query again
I presently ride a pepped up 220 (courtesy Joel) and I enjoy the torque flow and super fast acceleration of my bike.
I have also ridden FZ 16 extensively, and thats the only bike apart from my 220 that has brought a smile on my face.
Would like to know if the KTM 200 has torque flowing right from the bottom (not like the cbr 250 or R15, where it is dead below a certain RPM) and thats exactly what I am looking from my next ride.
FZ owners who have upgraded to KTM, is the KTM like a bigger and better version of FZ, because the handlebar position, seating position is somewhat similar.
In short I think KTM is a mix of 220 (power and torque) and FZ (Ergonomics and flickability). Please let me know if I am wrong.

It was the showroom that filled it. I remember they were saying coolant was low in all the bikes and they were topping it up before delivery. 3-4mm above min, isn't it nearly low?Originally posted by Shubz View PostJust forget I even mentioned some ring!

Sorry to miss out on this Chinmay. I've found Duke torquey from start. Anybody on a CBR can comment about the comparison.Originally posted by chinmayakar View Post@ Shubz and other owners

Don't know if it's a personal question - but why last bike?
