Are you talking about service station or showroom?

Sorry to hear about your spill Deb. Any chances of getting spare parts from some of the other showrooms in India and have them mailed to you?

Showroom - They will be phasing out Pulsars. KTM & Ninja will be on display only.

Service station - Dedicated mechanic & Sr Service Engineer is already present for Ninja. I hope, same will be replicated for KTM (already has begun infact. One of the PBK guy in Okhla had gone for 2-3 days training for KTM. They were also given some info about bigget KTM )

KTM disc pads are alsmost the same price as CBR's. The guys claimed that they are very high on quality though in comparison to what's there in Pulsar.

KTM 650 has Tokico's brake system & is hell expensive.

        MAN!!!!

Interesting to note that indicator stalk broke off!! This is one thing which I have like in the P220's indicator. They are very flexible & doesn't get broken easily. Infact, once the indicator lights broke off after I fell down but the stalk was ok. It wasn't hanging or anything. Even after putting my cramster saddle bags, rear indicator gets bent but has never broken off, touch wood.
            yup bro.... ride safe

350, 650 (I clearly asked him if he is confusing with N 650. he said no, KTM 650)

I doubt it. PBK SVC will cater to both. Pulsars will be going to normal SVC. Tough days ahead for P 220 Fi owners

Saying coz Mr. Bajaj told there will be a separate service station for KTM. And also when I took the delivery of my bike the dealer there gave me the number of the service center head for pune, he told only KTMs would be serviced there.

I would be happy if KTM gets separate SVC My P220 will get premium service

when i booked my KTM in Mumbai - the PBK guy gave me his card which had names of service centres in Mumbai. But he didn't specifically tell me that they were exclusively for KTM.

KTM can be used as a touring machine and here is the proof-

Maybe he meant the 690 Duke - Highlights KTM

It should actually do well if it comes at a price which is substantially cheaper than what it sells for in the EU. Because if it doesn't, The Ninja 650 will be cheaper by about 50k and the naked one (if that one does make it to our shores), around 70k. The only way they can achieve that is by localization and by manufacturing them right here in Chakan, Pune!! Which would mean that they might as well make a developing markets (= India) specific 650 Duke!!

However, the 690 Duke weighing just 150kg (less than P220) will be a helluva ride!

Sorry for adding speculation and OT. I ll stay off this thread from now on

I took a spill on my bike this Monday. Nothing major, as I was downshifting to 1 from 2 while crossing rumbler strips, it went into 1 and as the front wheel crossed, the bike stopped. I put my foot down and pushed a little as I saw that the gear indicator on the display was blank. Suddenly, the gear engaged and the bike sped off and fell onto its right side and skidded for a few metres.
I was wearing a helmet and a DSG Nero jacket so my torso and head were OK, but, I hadn't put on knee guards so, my right knee got skinned.

                            Bike damage report:
                            1. Coolant spilled out but, is still between the Min and Max level indicator.
                            2. RHS Handlebar grip is a little damaged as the bike was skidding on its side.
                            3. RHS leg guard's top mounting bolt broke and the leg guard itself is scratched.
                            4. RHS rear indicator stalk broke. Indicator functions but, it's just hanging.
                            5. Rear brake lever snapped off from the base. Looks like aluminium, so chances of welding it back are minimum.

I called the only KTM service center in Delhi, Bagga Link @ Kirti Nagar. They said only brake lever is available and they have no idea when the other parts will come, might even take a month. I'll go there after Holi and get the brake lever replaced. Will update after the visit to the service center.
Very sad, take care buddy....,moreover it wsnt totally your fault ... I wish u get ur bike and urself back in action ASAP...

I'll have to call other places and find out, but, the brake lever is the main concern and that is getting replaced. Rest, I can mange with somehow, at least till the parts are available.

Well, if I'd been lighter on the throttle...
But, I've noticed sometimes it happens in higher gears too. Downshift, you feel the gear shift lever click, but, the gear doesn't engage, which you find out when you twist the throttle and the engine revs but bike doesn't respond.
                              Anyone else finding this problem?
