    1) The rear disc wire which extends from the foot brake to the back wheel discs, appeared to be lined with a blue ink kinda thing, not sure whether it was there earlier or not.

    2) I used to change the gears like usual but at the end of a 10km continous run in 6th gear, I slowed down and while changing the gear to 5th, it got stuck somewher in between and that sound of the gear box made me really sick, I started sweatting, I thought something really went wrong, but fortunately i couldn fell any change again while riding

Could some Expertise come up with some explanation for the above 2 ???
The black ink kind of thing is there on every bike. So don't worry

When changing gear you may not have pressed steady so must've gotten stuck in between 5th and 6th gear - Hope you haven't incurred any damage. what kind of shoes were you wearing?

Make sure you continue to rev only after seeing the gear number change on display - at least for a few times if not all the times. just to get over the fear. (this is just my advise)

I was wearing light woodland shoes and they fit perfectly on the gear peddle, and ya i wil make sure whenever I m doin some uneven gear shifts i will keep an eye on the console..

I thought the shoes question was sarcastic . But always keeping an eye on the console might be dangerous!

That's also widely known as power shifting but they use special technology called slipper clutches where they either use a button to shift up or do it manually and the slipper clutch allows the gear to fit into the hurried gear change somehow!!! That's a very blurred idea but Google is your friend here...but...to answer your question...I wouldn't do that to my new KTM. you really don't need to since it already has very close gear ratios so you don't need to be power shifting through the gears...
Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

Duke is hardly 125kg. Is that the reason its able to manage to give awesome mileage?
Absolutely Yes. Even solo riding will give more FE than riding with a pillion. Duke is a light weight motorcycle. I think it will give over 35 kmpl or maybe higher in normal driving conditions.

No sir, the question was not sarcastic. If you are wearing some big boots, getting under the gear lever and placing foot over the gear lever may take some effort/time lag and even the feeling would be different. Quite possible that with a heavy boot, one might tread lightly on the gear lever and put it "in-between" gears. Sorry if it came across as sarcastic.

You got me wrong on the second count too - I was ONLY talking of "glancing" at the console - not gazing at it!

Dont worry Shubz "Mr Assasin" is having fun...

Now I hear squeeky sound like the usual drum brakes sound if i move the bike manually and also a mild harsh sound as if somethings pressing against the rim of the wheels (i hv removed all plastic covers)...tried to figure out wher exactly the sounds coming from but couldnt..but I hope these r minor observations..

A word of advice for all further observations like these, Please mention the odo reading whenever mentioning anything like the above so that anybody reading today or at a later date is able to gauge what exactly is/was happening and what could be its probable cause.

                            Cheers
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                              Right said Antz bro!

Rajath - Odo reading please! I will go to the basement in a bit and push the bike forward and reverse to check if there is any noise. BTW - my ODO reading is around 150 Kms.

I have had my chain adjusted, lubed a couple of days ago (when I had reported the chain snapping against swing-arm).
