Re: KTM 200 Duke
SadOriginally posted by leorcid View PostTook the bike to the service center today. They said it's the cam shaft O-ring busted and changed it. Well, when I came back home, the oil leak is still there!
Contact the customer care I would say. It's better to keep them in a loop and then get the work done properly. Did you clean the oil and see again? Ask a company engineer to take a look and be present when the work is carried out.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
They have water serviced the bike after doing the job, so it was clean when I took it from there. I called the service center, but no answer. The thought of going there again today in the heavy traffic is revolting. I will take it again tomorrow and see what happens. And I will make sure I call the customer care and keep them in the loop. Thank you.Originally posted by Xzibit Roll View PostSad

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Whats the approx cost of Duke 200 alloy/steel number plate holder (the official power part)? Also, where can I get stickers, handle guards, wind-shield, crash guard, number plate holder of good quality but cheaper price in Mumbai. Original ones are way too expensive. Obviously the brand and quality is being charged for but still the official items cost too much to pay for.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
i followed this design no mods to the bike or plate, yes it's a normal white led parking bulb.Originally posted by Janesh.J View PostNice mod bro. Did you have to do any mods to the plate clamp or did it fit directly ?
The second photo shows that you have installed LED in pilot/parking lamp. What Bulb is that ?

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hi All,
Finally....the day is coming near when I'll own an orange beast...The date is in the head...all the calculations have been made....just a matter of time when the amount in bank matches the amount required
Just as any other person would have before getting a new bike, I too have some doubts that are bugging me...If anyone can help....
Firstly, which is the best dealer for KTM in Delhi, for after sales....I only know KTM at Cannaught Place, because I have seen it only...I dont know any routes here.
Secondly, is it a good time to buy a Duke 200...I mean I may sound rude/weird, but with India not getting 2013 version with ABS and now 2014 version just round the corner and spoofs being shown by Motorbeam regarding testing of it in India...the last thing you would want is the ABS version being launched just after 1 month of buying the bike...
The reason I say is that this is going to be my first bike, graduating from an Activa...leaving 200NS and waiting for the finances to get in line for D200, I would love to have ABS...its simply a life saver....Or am I thinking too much ?...2014 version for India may just be a faux pas ?
Thirdly, and most importantly, living outside my state, at Delhi, and working at Noida, how would I register my bike for Delhi?..Is it necessary to buy the bike at my home and transport it here?...Or can I buy it on my relatives name who live in Delhi, would that be a problem?
Thanks in advance...any help would be much appreciated.
P.S-I plan to test ride it tomorrow at the only showroom I know....would it be open on Sunday?

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Apparently, it was my mistake, I was a bit too fast to judge, I removed all oil from the side of the engine and rode now for around 100 kms, and there is no oil leak now. Well, yesterday all of a sudden the speedometer stopped working and then started working in between and then go off. After ten minutes, my console showed battery low. Took her right to the service center and left the bike there. I got it back by evening and they said the charging coil was burned. They replaced it in warranty, the third part replaced in warranty, after chain and sprockets, cam shaft O ring and now charging coil.Originally posted by leorcid View PostThey have water serviced the bike after doing the job, so it was clean when I took it from there. Re: KTM 200 Duke
I have given my bike at the svc yesterday for the head leakage issue. I asked them to open the head infront of me so will go now and see. Hope its not anything troublesome.Originally posted by leorcid View PostApparently, it was my mistake, I was a bit too fast to judge, I removed all oil from the side of the engine and rode now for around 100 kms, and there is no oil leak now. Re: KTM 200 Duke
For me it was a simple job, they opened it while I watch. They were able to remove it without touching tank or anything, just through the space between the frame spokes.Originally posted by Xzibit Roll View PostI have given my bike at the svc yesterday for the head leakage issue. Re: KTM 200 Duke
Even if they have to remove the tank, it still would be a simple job. Its not very difficult to remove the tank provided you have the right tools.Originally posted by leorcid View PostFor me it was a simple job, they opened it while I watch. Its because 'Whatever it is, it's better in the wind!'

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Your chain/sprocket was replaced under warranty? How? What was the issue? The reason I ask is the svc always maintains that chain sprockets are never replaced under warranty no matter how soon they have to be replaced. I'd really like to know what was the issue with your chain that they agreed to replace under warrantyOriginally posted by leorcid View PostApparently, it was my mistake, I was a bit too fast to judge, I removed all oil from the side of the engine and rode now for around 100 kms, and there is no oil leak now. Just 2days ago someone stole the oil cap and a lot of oil got sprayed on the bike and me. Got that fixed for 1100 bucks and now this issue crops up.
, but very strong and irritating. Told the mechs That too and he asked me to leave the bike there and he will observe this the next morning. Due to college and all can't leave it there,so postponed it
