I checked the color of the oil by looking at the glass level and it look fine and the color is not milky. I'm just bothered with what I did and thinking I should do a change oil.
My duke 200 is just 3K old and everything is perfect. No leaks. Just some vibration or weird sound like something is vibrating at high rpms.
It's a joy to ride and I just did a 630 kilometer trip.
i think there is a remote possibility because those bolts also hold the magnet side cover. The next time just use some brush and diesel to clean out that area.
since you already did a 630km trip, i think whatever little water that may have entered should have evaporated

A better approach would be to put the bolts on again while cleaning the area near front sprocket so as to seal the holes completely.

          Hello Guys,
Sorry , but Im posting this again since my problems could not get solved. Please help me out here. Lately my D200 has been facing a lot of acceleration problems. A lot of power lags while shifting, which is more prominent during downshifts when engine rpm is less than 4500. powerless 3rd and 4th gears even when im trying to accelerate from 30-40kmph. also, when im in the 2nd gear, the rpm reaches 6000-7000 before i shift but the speed is still between 22-25kmph. earlier i would easily touch 30-35 mark before shifting to 3rd gear. there is a lot of tak-tak-tak kind of noise coming from engine (which i read in few articles is because of loose tappets and old gaskets). the exhaust sound is muffled (i dont hear the sharp trrrrrr sound which D200 is famous for, the sound which it had in the beginning). the top speed has reduced too. this may sound bad, but nowadays i feel good riding my friends Fz 2.0 as i get the feeling of my duke when it was in good condition. I've been to the service people a lot of times (5-6 times) and they say everything is ok. when i complained of the tappets they said it is not worth it and will smooth out. my bike has done 8500+kms. I quite a noob when it comes to engines and stuff , so i really need you guys to help me out. earlier i never used to get intimidated when pulsars and other bikes overtook me (not that im a speed junkie ), but i knew that with the slightest throttle twist, i would get past them, but now, im afraid. this is serious.

Sounds like a worn out clutch to me.. I may be wrong but please do have them check.

too tight clutch cable that its not dis engaging properly leading to power loss.. else you clutch plates are man.... however 8500 is too low for clutch plates getting fried.. get the clutch cable slack checked...

I suspect battery coil being the culprit, if not may also be a faulty console. I can only come up with these two things with what u say. I may be wrong. Others can shed some light.

Had a fall 3 weeks back, here's a small story from Bangalore.

When I was trying to cut through a bus and a car, luckily gloves and jacket saved me except for a deeply bruised left knee. Was idling the bike every 3-4 days for 7-8 mins so as to not let the bettery charge go down (25 months old bike so extra precaution ) after getting my knee ready ie., im in walkable condition after 20 days. Got my bent handle bar replaced for 1300/- (885 spare + 350 labour + tax)

Though my left stepper footerest holder is slightly bent downwards bikes is rideable, so will try get the bend removed after a few days.

The handle replacement cost, I feel like I was overcharged Anyone got it done in the past and can remember can please post the charges you paid?

                    Cheers

I also thought the battery coil being the culprit, but now speedo is working fine, dont know what was the fault.
I hope you do speedy recovery and ride safe.

                        Thanks mate!

I'm facing a rather weird issue from past 6 months. The gear indicator on the console goes blank (only) on shifting back to neutral after riding the bike for about 20 mins.

This doesn't happen when the bike is cold like overnight halt or even turned off for 2 to 3 hours, but goes blank only after riding the bike for about 20 mins.

@Doga posted a similar sounding issue here and got it resolved here by cleaning the clutch switch found on the LH switch gear, I followed and suggested my mech to do the same. He opened the clutch switch and rubbed it with sand paper and put it back, yet the prob still exists.

Is this the sign of a batter coil going kaput? If not what else is the prob?

                        Experts please advice.

                        cheers

That doesn't sound like a stator coil issue but more like a worn out wire or a sensor..Just a suggestion, do clean out the area near the gear lever and vicinity to remove any gunk accumulated over the sensor.. Might work..Someone had posted a similar query a while back regarding a loose side stand sensor..

drop in a complaint via email to [email protected] , dont be rude or write stories... just mention in simple words that you were not allowed test rides.

Already did it no response from them . Very anxious as to why d200 is not given for TD . It seems to them 1.5 lacks is damn cheap to own without even trying it . Really sad for KTM
