Re: KTM 200 Duke
yep, this tool doesn't come with the d200's tool kit but does come with the rc's.Originally posted by Pritesh Patel View PostOhk but this is not there in the tool kit so have to do it from SVC.
check out if the tool that comes with the rc will suit the duke (am 99% sure it will).. if it does then just buy the rc's toolkit or this tool if its available separately (or maybe tipping the mechanic at the svc could help you acquire one
)

Re: KTM 200 Duke
there is no such thing as a fixed best position. yours is at the stock setting from the factory.Originally posted by Pritesh Patel View PostWhich is the best stage for the mono shock absrber, mine is 3rd last from bottom... And everyday i have to ride 1km off road...
i weigh a good 85 +kgs and am 6ft and have increased it by 3 more notches after riding it for a week. Now i feel the best for me would be 2 notches up from stock so will reduce it by one soon.
If you frequently carry a pillion then i suggest 3 notches up from the stock setting.
for more information you can google 'spring preload' and read more about it.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Guys for the past week i am experiencing leak from the front shock absorbers.
I waterwashed it and i am seeing leakage again.
I am having my exans and use it to go my library everyday.. Like 5-8 kms..
I am planning to use the bike for another 5 days and then get it repaired.
Will riding the bike in this condition cause problem ? Also the chain has become rusty.

It will compromise handling of the bike just a bit (but if you're experienced then it shouldn't matter all that much for 5 days). But do get it fixed at the earliest otherwise you might have to change the shock absorber completely.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Check for obvious marks of accident, bends in RVM (probably an indication of hit), check out chain is in good condition or not - if it is stretched till end of its life it is a good point to bargain, electrical especially tail lamp and small lamp beneath headlamp, rims for bends, tyre condition- look out for cracks, if the seller claims its maintained properly ask for service history- owners manual and check maintenance intervals.Originally posted by Ajinx View PostI'm probably going for a used 2012 KTM Duke 200 which has done 18000 kms. It seems to be in good condition, and is within my budget. Any advice on the checks to be performed? Also, on the reliability & cost of spares of the bike?
