You will never know how that hole appeared. If it was in a crash, or did someone try to drill in to it to put on some accessory or was it just poor quality.
I do not see rust around that area, plus from what it appears in the pic, it looks like it snapped off in a crash or when it fell down for whatever reason.

Sorry I seem to have written the wrong thing. I wrote rim where I meant to write sprocket hub. The hub that the sprocket is bolted on to is a separate piece from the rim, now I really don't know whether the new hub would fit on the old rim but its worth a try as I doubt that part will be costly.

AFAIK the hub you are referring to is an integral part of the rim and is not sold separately as a spare part. If I'm able to find any broken rim of another 390 then it could be done.

Really? But that's not possible............. How would one change the wheels damper sets? I have to look into this, this can't be right.

So just now I checked with the SVC mechanic and he told the new hub, rim and the sprocket come with six holes. You can purchase the hub separately but it's of no use since the rim is with four holes.

Oh, I see. So in that case I guess the new 200s use a different design hub and damper set. Makes sense since the new 200s come with the provision for the 390's abs harness for direct fitting unlike before when it needed a bit of modding.
Either way it doesn't make sense to spend that much on a healthy bike.

                  Hi,

Two weeks back my bike suffered a crash. RH leg guard, rear break lever , handle bar got changed and SVC did the fork alignment. Now under hard breaking(keeping front break lever pressed till the bike stops) a strange 'tak' sound is coming from may be fork or handle bar assembly. No issues with handling though.. but this sound is really annoying.

Please help me with the probable cause. i hope front fork assembly is fine, will go for second free service in few days..

It may be from the cone set. Try to tighten the cone set or install a new one. Just my personal thinking, check with the service guy first.

Yeah, the cone set could be the faulty bit. Or its possible that the ball bearings need to be grease/replaced. Ask the ASC to check it.

Just with the irritating sound, the cone set doesn't to be replaced. That needs to be replaced if the handling is faulty.

Thanks Guys, going for service tomorrow. Also, has anyone bought Orange assist service, I just checked with KTM wakadewadi, Pune they said there is some tie up issue with their service center.

In Mumbai, we have to pay 900/- for it, and they said assistance is given within a 100 km radius of any ASC. anywhere in the country. Though I'm yet to use it !

I was told, despite having 6 holes, it aligns with the early generation 4 holes, so maybe you can just go with 4 bolts.
                            I am back!

Not worth it since a 6 hole sprocket would be under stress in a 4 hole hub. It may align but during hard acceleration and say wheelies the sprocket will torsion and become a mess.
