But what I am guessing is if the chain has been lubed with oil during your visit to SVC or by yourself, the oil splash could in fact result the same. Oil leaks near the sprocket due to a bad counter gear seal.

Rarely I hit low fuel warning. And then it feels like the bike is having some issues like the carburetted bikes jerk when it hits reserve. Not always but I have noticed this. And I informed SVC about it. They said it's because of low fuel. Is this normal in FI bikes?

And can you buddies suggest a good helmet with pretty good ventilation? I have used ls2 phobia, kyt. Kyt is good but sweats a lot and the ventilation is broken.

Doesn't felt the same on low fuel warning. Recntly got warning and the next refuling was done after around 20km.
And for helmets check SOL , MT, HJC
One tip wind noise on higher speeds will increase as the no. Of vents

          Dear Friends,

Can i go for Duke 200 now, is it a right decision?.

I love it i took for a ride, its awesome. handling of the bike is good.

But my worries are still is there any common issues on the bike which was not rectified?

And how about the spare parts cost & fuel economy. Please help me in knowing these.

And how was the dealers in servicing.

If you can get hold of an amaron battery for test fitting(old or new) you can place it in the compartment and see what needs to be done. isn't rocket science..
So, I finally replaced the battery on my Duke with a new Amaron battery. The Amaron one was taller than the stock battery by 2 cms or so. So, i had to remove this clip/metal holder to accommodate the taller battery.

Posting this for all those who wish to install Amaron instead of stock Exide battery in Duke.

I used the bike for a week or so. And, this battery is perfect with the electricals. So, no issues now.

Yes, I think this is the right time to buy it as they are stopping production of all current models. All the current model's complaints are rectified. When new versions arrive, it will have new issues. Will take time to rectify those issues.

Fuel economy is decent for the bike. I got around ~36-40

Service was kind of ok here in Cochin.

Whoa, I wasn't aware about this. I'm planning to buy Duke200 in September. Do you think if this september lot can be one of the last batches manufactured? Also what about spares and service lets say 3 years down the line for Duke200 if the production is stopped this year?

The 2016 Duke is very refined and basically no issues if u can get hand of a good piece with proper pdi.I own the 2016 and find it to be trouble free

Yes, go ahead. It is a good choice. I am not sure about spare parts price but think it is reasonable. The free service will cost you from 1000-2000 rupees. And the parts availability will be still there as new models will also share some components with older models.

whats the name of the part and how do i get it ??

at first i thought not the clutch cable again but then i looked down and it was this, luckily saw a hardware store bought the wire and a cutting plier and mended it just to reach home , and then called svc, they say that i should get it arc welded, why the hell should i weld it and with all the sensitive electronics on the bike,

can anybody please tell me what this is ?

Its called clutch yoke ( gearbox side )
Available at bajaj spare shops or SVCs, You cant weld it while its on bike , paint will get damaged.
What you can do is replace it or remove it from bike and get it welded ( it wont be as strong as OE )

Thanks Rohit. I'll just replace it,I won't weld it. But I'm curious why would svc recommend me to weld it rather than replacing it despite showing them the problem..

And is that a hazard light flasher or a security system wrapped in blue cover ?

That part is called "CLUTCH RELEASE LEVER". Ask them to order the part if they don't have it in stock. it would require the clutch side case to be opened to replace it.
