      Just curious to know if anyone has seen any person riding or sitting pillion on a Duke wearing a saree. I still cant understand why a Duke needs a saree guard.

          And is that a hazard light flasher or a security system wrapped in blue cover ?
          Hey Bro,

          It was the same case with my stock Exide too after 1.5 yrs of its usage. So, I finally put on the Amaron. Got it for Rs 1800. If you give away your old battery you will get Rs 200 discount on 1800. Got it through Batterywale.com they are the official dealers of Amaron batteries.

          Amaron: ABR-PR-12APBTX90 (12V/9AH) [24+24 months warranty]
          Dimension of this Amaron: Height->140 mm ; Length-> 137 mm ; Width-> 76 mm ; 3.10kgs
          Dimension of stock Exide: Height->104.14 mm ; Length->149.86 mm ; Width->78.74 mm

          Remove that small metal holder and the new Amaron will slide in easily.

          That blue thing is my hazard light flasher unit.

          Please let me know if you get any info about the security system/immobilizer unit for our dukes. I want to buy it in future.

          @xplod566: Buddy, your bike is pretty new. The battery will be fine initially.

              It all started that one day when I left the ignition on overnight, I charged it up using a computer smps, put it into the bike started up. And after two months I started getting low battery messages. Since then as soon as these messages appear I just remove the battery and charge it overnight.i thought that bike is not charging the battery well. So I tried a lipo battery that a friend owns. Bam everything works well it's been four months since im using this battery. No issues whatsoever. But my friend is coming back from States soon and I need to return it. So I'm planning to go for amaron since these lipo batteries are way beyond my budget.

                And for helmets check SOL , MT, HJC
                One tip wind noise on higher speeds will increase as the no. Of vents
                And regarding helmets don't buy into the ls2 bullshit like I did. They are good helmets but the howling noises are unbearable.

                        What? Is it mandatory to have the saree guard on our bike? Does the law say so?

                          No it is not mandatory for us to ride with saree guard installed. Law states that it is mandatory for the manufacturer to install the saree guard when selling the bike.

                                Well I installed roots trumpet horn on my ride and specifically instructed the SVC guys to cover the same before water wash..
                                Result: horn ruined after service.
                                :banghead:
                                Don't go for trumpets .. Instead go for larger horns..
                                I recently purchased a larger minda horn .. Its paralleled with the stock and its running fine so far.. Touch wood
