Well I installed roots trumpet horn on my ride and specifically instructed the SVC guys to cover the same before water wash..
Result: horn ruined after service.
:banghead:
Don't go for trumpets .. Instead go for larger horns..
I recently purchased a larger minda horn .. Its paralleled with the stock and its running fine so far.. Touch wood
Yes, this is a possibility that makes the horn gargle instead of honk when there is excess water ingress. They are spray proof, but not water proof. What you can do is remove the horn, swing them fast enough so the water comes out. After a water wash the horn will always gargle, solution is to remove the horn, swing them fast enough so that excess water comes out, dry it out with the opening facing downwards in your terrace or elsewhere where there is adequate sunshine. In 10 to 15 mins you're done. Now this isn't necessary every time you wash, as the horn doesn't easily give up, unless water is fed in directly as opposed to slow accumulation. In my case in my Victor I do this once every three or four pressurized washes, so that shouldn't be a problem. And these horns still last a life time.
I have seen a newly married guy with his wife as pillion sitting one sided on the KTM.. Was surprised upon seeing that actually..
Probably gotten his dowry, new ride on the back and a new motorcycle. Just kiddin.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
Is it a 3 led or 4 led one. Do let us know how it came out. Cheers man
Its a 3 led module. 2 of them light up in low and all will light up during high..
Peak power consumption is rated at 44w. Light output seems to be 4500k or 5000k :what: definitely not 6000k because my parking light which is also led is 6000k. You have to make a few changes to the holding mechanism as the led has a huge heatsink. I was able to squeeze in the full unit and some effort was required but diy possible. Result: its bright when high..!!
The fan kicks in every time the light is on!! Throw is very nice..There is less dispersion and intensity when compared to hids and more intensity compared to halogens!! Its blinding at times when I looked close to the light.. Hope this helps
I have 3 led one but it's not as brights as yours, whoa man your parking light is awesome can you tell us from where did you get them?
Its a cree led module got it from China for 1.5 dollars a pair..
Well... I took the bike out for a short spin and here is a initial review of the 4000lm lights..
Well the throw is in between that of halogens and hids like I said before. No fluctuation or uneven dispersion like in the case of hid.
Its pure white light and the difference between high and low is pretty marginal not significant.
Attaching pics for reference.
Images are uploaded in following sequence..
1. No lights
2. With just the parking light
3. With low beam
4. With high beam
Value for money - big yes as of now..
Will see how long these lights last
When is the service interval for 2nd service ?
Which Morul engine oil is best for d200? Is there any checklist I should follow while giving the duke for 2nd service
Hi guys,
GOOD NEWS for all those who have been facing that khat khat sound on bumpy roads.

Did you mean to say the chain guard or the sleeve chain guard (chain slider)?
Cheers!
