Re: KTM 200 Duke
The rear is around 5500~6000rs.. I got it for 5500 a few months ago, and since then i've heard that the price has gone up by around 500rs.Originally posted by Suraj200 View PostHi Guys, I will be changing my duke 200 tyres tomorrow so can any tell me the cost of michelin tyres, i got quote from Premjis tyre plus from thane of approx 9600rs
I only difference i am seeing with the michelins is a bit improved ride quality and less puncture prone, the grip is more or less the same as the mrf. I thought the grip would improve significantly over time but now its almost done 7k km and I am not seeing significant improvement vs the premium price.
I think the michelin is a better replacement alternative for the 390 folks (considering the expensive metz and the mrf which is not rated for the speeds the 390 does). My next tire change will be stock mrf or one size down (140 section) from mrf/michelin/ceat (in that order of preference depending on availability). I feel the 150/60 section at the rear is overkill for my style of riding.. and i did ride another D200 with a 140/70 section michelin and it felt just fine.
and as for the front, am totally in love with the stock mrfs
i dont see the need to spend more (or less) on another brand of tire.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hi Guys,
I have noticed that the bike under 3000RPM kind of jerks/Stutters a lot.Specially if i keep the Throttle to a fixed position. This happens more on a speed of about 13-15 on 2nd gear.Is it supposed to happen like this?
@s1d @B7ACKTHORN paradoxr9019 , any help please as to why it happens. Is it in the character of Duke.Last edited by xplod566; 04-18-2016, 06:39 PM.

Superb insight. Will surely help a lot of users who get confused by different brand names (me being on of them ;-) ) So in all probability i revz wud be better for my d200 considering my riding style.
Thanks...

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Guys..my low beam is gone.I was facing this issue of low beam not working immediately after the bike was turned on.Sometimes i had to restart the bike to make the low beam work. Yesterday while i was riding with low beam on, it suddenly turned off by itself and wouldn't turn on no matter whatever i did. Can anyone please tell me what the problem is. I have heard that the low beam problem is a common issue. Please tell me if someone has fixed this prob. Thank you.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Can't guarantee if its 100% right. Check battery. This was issue with me. My battery was perpetually low due to stator coil issue and headlight won't work immediately just like yours. After getting stator and low battery solved it was gone.Originally posted by sanjay.rajan500 View PostGuys..my low beam is gone.I was facing this issue of low beam not working immediately after the bike was turned on.Sometimes i had to restart the bike to make the low beam work. I had issue similar to this few weeks ago. In mine the issue was bcz of the wires got cut bcz of wear n tear near the place where you have your chassis no. etched on the frame near the coolant reservoir.
To check.. On the headlight and turn the handle bar on either side and you if your light comes on and off... The culprit is the wires.
Let me know if this is your issue i will post the resolution too.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Thanks man..i tried what u suggested.. But still the light remains off..not even flickers while turning the handle. There seems to be no damages to wiring near the chassis no area.Originally posted by jeshurun99 View PostHi,

The high beam flash works though when the pass button is pressed.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
I too have the same issue. But not always. I have felt the jerk when it's showing low fuel only. And that too not always.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHi Guys,

Re: KTM 200 Duke
normally there is a wee bit of a lag/hiccup when you try to accelerate in second gear at a very low speed. as for holding the throttle at a fixed position doing speeds of 13-15kmph, iirc its just the exhaust that sort of sputters at those speeds.. but let me give that a try and i'll let you know if i see a similar behavior on my bike.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostHi Guys,

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hey guys!
I am looking for new tyres for my D200 and ready to spend max 10Ks! I am more of a tourer so looking for a tyre thats good both for highways and off roads to an extent! Its nt that I will be doing Ladakh regions every now and than, but if required these tyres shouldnt disappoint! As after spending 10Ks i dont want to experiment with changing tyres for different regions, since i dont have that kindda money neither the space to store the spare set of tyres at my place
.
P.S. Ladakh was just an example for bad road!Last edited by prathjazz; 04-19-2016, 02:17 PM.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Thanks. Its like when the bike is ridden with speeds below 18 and in 2nd or 3rd gear without holding any sort of clutch it kind if continuously gives a hickup.Nothing Major but still...Originally posted by s1d View Postnormally there is a wee bit of a lag/hiccup when you try to accelerate in second gear at a very low speed. as for holding the throttle at a fixed position doing speeds of 13-15kmph, iirc its just the exhaust that sort of sputters at those speeds.. but let me give that a try and i'll let you know if i see a similar behavior on my bike.

1 Was the throttle body cleaned anytime in the past?
2 How old is the Air filter?
3 Do you see any MIL blinking?
