Re: KTM 200 Duke
Yeh, the lever do bend n break easily. I had to put my bike down gently and jump off at almost standstill pace and ended up with a bent front and rear brake lever.Originally posted by plexus View PostGuys my duke fell down and i ended up with bent front brake lever ? i was sad at first but then i thought what if this is a good chance to try the aftermarket levers , they look awesome. earlier s1d mentioned about lever on ebay . and they look cool and everything but should i try it ? i dont know anything about adjustable levers and have
For levers that are sold on ebay, the clutch lever is a direct fit but some juggad needs to be done for the front brake lever (asked a guy who had these levers)
I stuck to stock and had the levers replaced... the front brake lever was Rs.110 i guess and is a 2 min job to fit it.
btw are you sure the rear brake lever was not bent ? do take a closer look at it.
And am sure most of you might know this.. but yeah the 2015 model has revised bits n pieces compared to what was released in the last quarter of 2014. The D200 now comes with the RC grips, extra plastic fork protectors and i think a more cushy seat.. and better brakes (this was told to me by the showroom guy.. i had the rotor replaced under warranty cos it was glazed n making squealing noises after just around 2200 km, but have been happy with the brakes though)Last edited by s1d; 02-15-2015, 11:06 PM.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Has anyone installed the Extra Radiator fan shroud which comes pre installed on the newer Dukes on any older one??
Also, will replacing the Motul coolant with Engine Ice make the engine heat up less in Summer season(Checked with Motozone, Chinchwad they quoted me 2K for the coolant and cleaning the radiator with some sort of special material)??
It's getting quite hot here in Pune these last couple of days and the coolant temp goes up almost to the High Temperature level(just below last two bars) even after riding for 10 minutes or so in moderate city traffic..

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hello All!
Posting here after a really long time. I was out of the country for 7 months and recently came back a couple of weeks ago. Had given my bike over to my friend for him to use, but he drove only 500kms in 6 months!
Came back, got the bike serviced in the first weekend itself, changed fork seals (had gone bust), front and rear brake pads, and general servicing. Bike is running butter smooth now (touchwood!). Took it to mumbai for a short ride yesterday, performance was fantastic, very minimal vibes at cruising speeds (~100kph).
Overall, very happy with my duke and looking forward to many more such pleasurable times!
Regards,

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Contacted ktm regarding the price they said it's 94rs and with tax costs would vary state by state. Got it installed.happily Sticking to stock. Regarding the price confusion they thought that I was talking about the rear brake lever too. . For a excellent and honest service at mysore.Originally posted by s1d View PostYeh, the lever do bend n break easily. did you try disconnecting the battery (both terminals) and putting them back after few mins, once my duke refused to start , cockpit dead stage , and there was no one i could borrow a battery from. disconnected the terminals and after a few mins put them back again , and it started.Last edited by plexus; 02-19-2015, 11:47 PM.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Yes of course you can 'demand' to be given the new model. A simple way to identify the latest model would be to look at the handle bar grips (it will be same as the one from the RC) and at the font forks you will see an extra piece of plastic protector on the inside.. this is the 2015 model (manufactured probably late Jan or Feb onwards). It is also reportedly supposed to have 'better' brakes from what I heard from the guy who usually does PDI stuff at the showroom.Originally posted by Tushar Suvarna View PostHi i am planning to buy a Duke i wanted to know about 2015 model . The previous model i.e. from around late Sept 2014 will only have the plastic protectors at the rear mono-shock and a radiator fan shroud.. while anything that does not have these is pre Sept 2014.. stay away from these two models.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Don't rush, just wait a few more weeks until they clear any of their old stock. Don't make any payment until then, and if you are making an advance payment just make sure to write down on the booking slip that "will accept only new model" and then signOriginally posted by Tushar Suvarna View PostThanks a lot bro i am asking them for the latest one but they are avoiding it i have made it clear that ill be only taking the 2015 model Thanks for the info will surely check it .

Re: KTM 200 Duke
How long have you had the bike. If less than 2 years then probably it's the coil. I ahve given a detailed description on this this thread few pages back.Look it up pleaseOriginally posted by vikundefined View Posthi guys, today while going to office my duke started showing "0" in the speedometer and soon after that it started showing low battery warning. I am confused is it a battery issue or stator coil has gone. Can anyone help what could be the issue. ThanksThe hero always RIDES into the sunset!
