I am not sure if ktm sells thru such 'multi brand' dealers. Why don't you email ktm on and clarify.Originally posted by Tushar Suvarna View PostGuys i am quoted 1.56L on road for Duke200 in Kanjurmarg- Mumbai Authorized Dealer and 1.50L on road(price+insurance+rto) in a near by multi two wheeler dealer near my house . Me personally, I'd prefer to stick the KTM auth dealership.. and yes 1.56 is about the right price now.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
I got it for 1.53 lakhs from the Mira Road dealer. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.

- K&N KT-1211 Replacement Air Filter
- Michelin Pilot Street Tires
- Rolon Chain Kit
- 390 Handle Bar with bar ends
- Titax Adjustable levers
- Philips Diamond Vision H4-12v 55/60w
- Bajaj 200 NS Front foot pegs (the stock rubber footpegs had the tendency to get very slippery when wet, making it very difficult to hang off)
- Swing arm and fork sliders
- Revised front dampening (I hated the way the stock used to dive under hard braking, new sets of springs with a change in the Suspension fluid, let it run cooler)
- Revised Clutch Basket (Enabled quicker shifts and shifting under power, a faux quick shifter of sorts)
- Revised Lifter Springs (Resolved Backfire issue)
- Revised Throttle Body Springs (This helped in reducing the engine braking, allowing easier open close throttle transitions)
Fluids:
- Motul 300v
- Engine ICE
- AMSOil Series 600 DOT4 Brake Fluid
The last 2000 odd kilometers of the owning my Duke 200 were painful to say the least. Parts started failing and some parts just fell off.
The plastic shrouds that cover the radiators used to keep falling off and after trying a host of things including 3M tape, I decided to just use silicon sealant to hold it in place which worked brilliantly.
I do not think Bajaj foresaw anyone covering as many kilometers as I did and the hard riding and high speed highway runs took a toll on the engine. One of the boffins from Pune did have a look at the timing mechanism and told me that if possible we could try and make some custom shims to helps reduce the clatter of the valves caused by the increase in the gap. This didn't work too well and we ended up leaving the valves to clatter themselves to glory. The final assessment was to have the entire valve train replaced. The boffin from Pune gave me sympathetic look and told me that maybe it was time for an upgrade.
I decided to have one last ride on her and put her up for sale. After sifting through a river of idiots who were only interested in how fast the bike could go, I came across once little kid with a spark in his eyes. I gave him the low down of the situation and the cost involved of owning my project. He quietly nodded and handed over the money. I gave him the keys with a heavy heart and wished him good luck.
As per the update I received today, she just had her fluids replaced and had new parts ordered for the valve train and timing chain.

So, what's next ?Originally posted by Pizzaboi View PostThis was a sad weekend for me.
I finally sold my 2012 KTM Duke 200. The final ODO reading was 81437. I ended up traveling through 7 states, 22 cities and countless villages but it never really sunk in until I had to hand over the keys to the new owner.

KTM 200 Duke
Pizzaboi I love the mods you had done in terms of performance and handling. Made me wanna try it out on the track. I would have made similar mods if I had the duke. For me it would have been very difficult to sell it off after the mods and experience you had with it, I'm sure it was for you as well. But now the question is, what's next? Duke 390, RC, or some import?
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I have limited garage space and the 2 cars take up most of it, it was very difficult for me to come to terms with selling it but I had to weigh the cost of keeping it running against selling it. luckily I found someone who was willing to continue to look after it. As for an upgrade I am overwhelmed with the choice I currently have. Waiting and watching, will decide and update soon. the RC though is out of the question since I tour most of the time with the occasional track daysOriginally posted by R-series View Post@Pizzaboi I love the mods you had done in terms of performance and handling.
