    What a line!
The new Special Edition Ninja looks absolutely stunning. The bike oozes premium from heead lamps to tail lights! It has broken my resolve to own the Yamaha twin. The fact that Kawa has been working on the N300 for two years and is not trying to sell a bored out 250 with higher compression ratio to rake out a few more bhps shows!
No offence meant to anyone and no direct comparos (mods you can delete if you think so!).

Finally, am out in the market selling my RC390 and trying to make rupees meet to get the N300 (over you know who giving higher bhp+ torque at lower price!). Wish me luck!

Cheers to the owners on a decision well made!!

There is no better therapy than riding a bike down a straight road at full throttle with the sound of the engine for company.

Thats a good decision to look beyond Rupee to bhp or torque ratio. Point to remember is Ninja 300 and R3 are not for people who think about Rupee to bhp ratio. Having said that, if I were you I wouldn't dismiss R3 yet. My friend has a R3 and the points I mentioned in my previous post hold true for R3 as well. Just that its more affordable on pocket with cost of spares being very low.

Yes, Ninja feels more premium in comparison to R3, however, R3 isn't bad either. Its a very good bike and I am glad people now have a quality alternative to Ninja 300 and we have 2 of the best bikes in 300 cc range available in India. Waiting for the other Japanese (Suzuki and Honda) to crash the party.

Give R3 a try and then decide between the two. Its a Yamaha after all.

                    Hi mustang28,
I am curious to know why you are selling off your RC390 for N300?? First of all why selling your RC390? Second one, why going for something almost at the same power level?

I own a R15V2 and looking for an upgrade when I come back to India by Feb 2016. The 3 bikes in my list are R3, N300 and RC390.

If you 'upgrade' from a Yamaha to a Bajaj, you will enjoy the first few days but over time you will soon find out why he is 'downgrading'

Ha ha. It is after all KTM. Why calling it a Bajaj!!! Is it like if you own a RC, your best friend will be the mechanic (Like the Royal Enfield's)
Which one do you own now?

Jokes apart, Is RC that bad ? I know there are few niggles.

I own an old Pulsar so I can't comment on the KTMs but I think the owners can give you much better opinions. However, my take on this is that going from a higher-quality Yamaha to a KTM (and it is a Bajaj after all) is not without its pitfalls. Ok enough OT

I have been driving a r15 and cbr250r since two years and got a rc390 a few months ago

and the way people exaggerate about its built quality is pure false
i didn't find anything that cheap as people say about it
except for the vibrations the bike is a brilliant piece of work and hardware and it feels good too

you seriously can't compare a new company to that which has its place in the market since a long time and is offering the bike at such a low price tag
its not that I'm a ktm fan or anything but I will say they did a brilliant job in creating this bike

Guys, this is a N300 thread; let us not bring KTM here. I have owned a 390 (KTM and RC) for 1.5 years now. If you want to know about my ownership pls. PM/check the D390/RC390 ownership threads. I have some posts there.
The reasons I like the N300 are:
                              1. It has got lots and lots of after market parts you can install since obviously it is in the market for a long time. The KTM powerparts are freaking expensive and not available in India (other than the stickers).
                              2. It has got a huge tank range (19 L)
                              3. It has got the lowest compression ratio among the RC390 and the R3 (high compression ratio = higher demand on good fuel quality)
                              4. The looks are killer and the new SE edition is stunning!!
Forget about the reliability and price for a minute and let your hear take over. You will not be disappointed!!

No more OT on this thread till we are an owner!

                              Cheers!
