Black might not suite the overall white body of the 390. And the transparent Wind shield has it own benefit other than looks,Originally posted by deepak82 View PostI was just wondering how would it look in black, I guess just Spray paint it from the inner side of the shield

Paid the full amount for the bike today including Rs 810 for a Bike cover. Will also inquire about a paddock stand later. I should be getting the bike when the 2nd lot arrives this week - Adyar Chennai.Last edited by pkd; 10-07-2013, 09:22 PM.

Re: KTM 390 - The original Hooligan - Ownership Thread
Hi All,
Luckily I got mine on the 28th September the Orange Day at Delhi, being amongst the first three owners in Delhi. Very unfortunately that was the only night yet I had a chance of riding her. The same night I brought her home, I suffered from Dangue Fever (thanks to the safe, clean and healthy Delhi). I'm still at bed rest but couldnt stop myself posting this here with the community, I am very excited about the day I'll be able to take her out. Here are just few shots from a day before the orange day since I took the bike out and brought it home for traditional formalities, they said mine is the officially first Registered Duke of Delhi. I hope to put up much better and happier updates in near future

Re: KTM 390 - The original Hooligan - Ownership Thread
More twists. I am probably going abroad for a month this weekend :/ which means I will not be able to collect the bike when it arrives on Thursday. The showroom guys have agreed to hold it for me. I will get it registered in November when I return. They said they will take good care of it. Will check out the storage location today. They had held a ninja 650 for a few months as it's owner was sailing. The bike looked in great condition, the owner took the delivery yesterday when I was paying. I didn't want to gamble by waiting for another lot in November considering that after the third lot, most bikes will be heading towards Bangalore with it's 450+ Bookings. Chennai will get FA ourth lot really late (December last week perhaps). Sanket_R15 I'm sure the Duke390 delivery excitement and relief had some healing powers. Nevertheless, get well soon.

Re: KTM 390 - The original Hooligan - Ownership Thread
I am considering the Duke 390 as my next bike. Currently I have Classic 500. I could only take a short test ride near the showroom. Can owners answer some questions I had. It will help me a lot in decision.- How is the reliability and maintenance record for those who have completed more kms? Is the servicing and oil/pads etc replacement more expensive than the 200?
- Does the 390 also have the problems like Duke 200, viz front fork oil leak and chain slapping the swing arm?
- I have read that the tyres will run out in 10k km and spending Rs. 24k per years seems too much. Can some other cheaper and longer lasting tyre be used?
- Is there any information about new colors to be released? I am not a fan of the current color scheme. Also I heard that price increase will happen soon.

I have completed 600+ Kms on my 390, also changed the engine oil once.
- I never found the maintenance is expensive... design wise its the same 200 bike.. so spares & maintenance will be close to duke 200s. In this forum & some other few of the members have completed 1st free service, which costed colse to 2k (including the 2lt oil)
-Till now I have not come across any such issue. yes there was some sound coming from the front, while acclerating hard & deacclerating but during the oil change the mechanic tighten chain. now I dont hear that sound.
-This also is been discussed in many forums. Bajaj is going to get the tyres in bulk, hence reducing the cost. As per showroom guys, a pair of metzelers will cost 11k to 12k. There is also a option of using MRF Revz (duke 200s) but the feed back will not be good.
-There is no information on new color for 390 so far. but there are stickers available for duke 200, that can be used in 390 as well but not sure whether it will look good?
