Which brand & grade of oil did they put? Do they charge for 1.4L of oil or give you a bottle with remaining 0.6L oil?Originally posted by nitin_sports View Postgave for first servicing at 930KM

Thanks for clearing that up. Now I would like to share an update.Originally posted by krashnburn View PostI received an email from HP confirming that Bajaj 10000 engine oil is mineral oil and has no synthetic components.

I have only managed 100km since I got the bike, (Bad weather and atrocious road surfaces) most of my riding has been in local traffic.
My bike came with the Fan Mod and in a standstill the fan does throw air forward but the amount of heat this baby gives off in traffic, I still feel the heat.
I am 5'7'' and feel there is too much room in the saddle and find myself fidgeting around to find the the best seating position This could just be me.
I have mentioned before that second gear is too far spaced( for local riding). At first I would keep shifting from 1st to 2nd than back to 1st. Now I have overcome this problem.
The throttle is made by Bajaj and it shows. There was a lot of play in the throttle which I adjusted but there is side play which will require a sellotape fix.
My bikes idle seems a little high compared to the test ride bike I rode. The idle fluctuates between 1500 and 1600 any info from other owners would help.
These are the Cons I have experienced so far, But If had known this before getting this machine, It would not have changed my mind. The Handling and acceleration of this bike Is perfect for Indian conditions. I have ridden much more powerful bikes but the power is not usable in local conditions.
Have purchased Motul 3000 15W50 mineral, and will do the oil change today, Then if the weather permits will take a long overdue trip.

The inside dia of the throttle body is bigger than the dia of the handle bar to an extent that there is up and down play. this is causing my wrist to ache a bit.Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostSorry didnt get this part about side play an all. Re: KTM 390 - The original Hooligan - Ownership Thread
Came to known that Motul 7100 10w50 won't be available outnside the bajaj service centers. Motul will be directly providing it to the service centers and no middlemen. I won't be surprised if any one doesn't find it in stores outside.Originally posted by nitin_sports View Postits 1.5L for 390. Any risk of jamming the accelerator grip?Originally posted by Buro View PostThe inside dia of the throttle body is bigger than the dia of the handle bar to an extent that there is up and down play. this is causing my wrist to ache a bit.

Bro, it's not supposed to do that. Get it checked and replaced if needbe than doing a DIY.Originally posted by Buro View PostThe inside dia of the throttle body is bigger than the dia of the handle bar to an extent that there is up and down play. this is causing my wrist to ache a bit.

Also, you can relieve some of the stress on the wrist by adjusting the handlebar for a more comfortable position.

The beast comes alive, bringing me back to life
A tap to shift and flick of the wrist
The beast takes flight bringing me back to life
Kill the silence, tear apart the dark

Re: KTM 390 - The original Hooligan - Ownership Thread
Dear All,
As far as the issue of changing the oil before 1st service goes, it seems most of you are using Motul 30004T 15W50 for the change. I have done around 300 kms till date. Have to change the oil now. Had bought 2 litres of Motul 7100 20W50 due to the unavailability of the 10W50 with retailers. But I guess it will be best to stick to Motul 3000 15W50 as most of you have done.
Do pour in your suggestions. Motul 7100 20W50 or Motul 30004T 15W50.
Another point is that I dont get Motul here at Jamshedpur. I assume that Motul oils are rebranded as YamaLubes and sold as OEM at Yamaha A.S.S. Would it be wise to use the their 15W50 mineral as a replacement for Motul?www.teamrollers.com

Haha..!! Seems like i have been under a rock for some time..!!!
Well, i know it was wrong of me to just blunt in with that questions, but had just found the thread recently.
well, i do not stay at Bangalore, so no idea, my friend is relocating there, and he wanted to know since he is thinking of getting one and wanted to know how long he might have to wait. And here in Kerala haven't heard of any deliveries yet of the bike..!
Cheers
