I guess they have the changes as per the dealers, but they have headlight switch too, so i am not sure. Safe bet would be to go for the one which doesn't have the headlight switch... since that ways it gets assured to some extent that the other updates are also there

2016 has some changes in the Fan and NOC seal and all. I think its better to wait in his case as they just tell you there is one month waiting so that you end with the old one! Marketing gimmick.

Non-DRL Dukes are not MY2016. They will be counted as 2015 models only. Obviously, manufacturing date might be in Jan 2016, but still they are still 2015 spec model.
& I don't think difference is huge. 2015 models already have slipper clutch. DRL is nice but not necessary imo.

Universal. Non-bobbin type. Initially I was thinking of going for bobbin-type. But, then saw the svc folks using the swingarm paddock and found it to be quite stable. So, went ahead with this one.[emoji4] [emoji16]

I have seen MY 16 models with the headlight switch and matched the Chassis number with the KTM VIN. It was a Jan 2016 make. Not just me, Roshith (userid- RRB) has also seen MY 16 with the switches. There are other minor tweaks too and not just the DRLs!

Well, I have been waiting since January for this. May be give it few more weeks as well!

The one you are talking about is MY15 models manufactured in 2016. The actual MY16 are the ones with DRL and other changes mentioned here. The MY15 manufactured in Jan 2016 have been available since end of Jan which I'm not very keen on.

Gotcha! The wait is what kills!

These are MY2015 manufactured in Jan 2016! I have seen them too but didn't go ahead with booking as I wanted to wait for DRL ones.

The reworked frame, different mounting points, thicker disk brakes are all quite big changes. I feel the change in mounting points and the frame will greatly reduce the vibes.

And not to mention the reworked radiator fan which is always a good thing. A month of wait for these is worth it, IMO.

Yeah, better to continue waiting then till some point. I had sold my Karizma mid December & needed a bike. Spending INR 200-220/day on commuting made no sense, just wanted to wait till Jan to register the bike and booked it during Jan, week 1. Overall I am very happy and if there was news of changes I may have considered waiting myself. Changes are always welcome and while some have the benefit of waiting, I am wondering how the initial launch owners maybe feeling now, however, on the flip-side, the manufacturer also shows responsibility.

Has anyone compared MY 15 bikes sold in 16 for similar changes apart from the DRLs?

I agree. It is better to wait for another month if any one is interested in the list of changes. I think the MY2016(as per VIN) bikes with the headlamp switch is the MY2015 batch, I am not sure about the internal changes like mountings and disc thickness, but sure the grab rail paint job looks different.

These types of things can go two ways. It can either be "KTM are a good company. They listen to our feedback and work on it" or "Ef KTM, they made us the guinea pigs".

But I'm sure, the feeling of the bike will be the same across the models.

None seem here to get a 2016 as early as I get. I suppose I'm the only one here who is riding a MY 2016 Duke 390
Luckily my dealer got the new batch real quick

So I just recieved my 2016 Duke 390, but I'd like to ask if anyone can confirm what documents came with the bike? I haven't recieved a owners manual, only a Warranty booklet apart from the usual bill and insurance papers.
