    Okay
That price for servicing is manageable for me. Honestly speaking, my first preference was Ninja 300 coz of my fetish towards full fairings, sweet inline twin cylinder sound, big fuel tank and ofcourse that stunning looks. But then, I've accepted the fact that I simply can't maintain a Ninja. The 250R's chain set comes for 15k INR. I simply can't shell out that much, everytime the chain sprocket wears out. And anyways, dad will never spend 4 lacs for a bike!

God is very generous on people like me so he introduced the Duke 390 Yes it has certain things which I don't like (small fuel tank being the main thing) but it has many things which I like. And, in my opinion, Dukes are the best sounding single-cylinder bikes in India

I'm in Mangalore doing my engineering but I am settled in Thane with my parents. I'll be purchasing the Duke at Thane only. Will tell my dad to book the bike soon

I have also read reports that the issue of metal shavings is not that severe any more with modern engines. So I decided to live with it.

10w50 is what bajaj has put and have an invoice which say ktm 390 motul 10w50. The manual has a sticker which has changed recommended oil to 10w50 from 15w50

So which is the correct grade? Will it be ok if we change it to 15w50 or should we stick on to 10w50?? I've already ordered 15w50...

dont worry. 10w 50 is better than 15w 50 for our conditions. stick to good brands like motul or shell. bajaj oil? i wont prefer for my 390.

The manual recommends "Motul 7100 10W50". I guess 15w50 will be equally good. Going back to thread for engine oils, as far as I understand the two numbers denote the ambient temperature range during which the oil maintains it's viscosity( does not become too thick when cold, or too thin when hot). For Indian ambient temperatures 15w50 is equally good as long as you are using good brands.

The manual specifically recommends "Motul". I have also inquired with Motul guys, and the Service stations. Motul is specifically supplying 7100 10w50 for the Duke 390s to the KTM A.S.S. In the retail market the closest we get to the required grade is 7100 20w50.

2 more bikes are ready to be delivered.

Showroom is expecting more 8-10 bikes in next week or in 10 days. They said that they would complete first 15 bookings by 22nd or 25th of September. Overall, barring the wait for the bike. Showroom personnel were excellent in their profession. Will put up more details in a day.

Rode in traffic for almost 15kms, The heat is there but not problematic. Have to see in afternoon times.
