So please don't waste money and also pollute the environment by changing at 200km. Just stick to manual just a friendly advice. Its your wish however
Thanks for the advice.

Though KTM knows more about the bike than me, it is my conventional wisdom to drain the metallic debris that has been scraped out during the first 200kms which is very crucial during the runin phase. I have done this will all my previous bikes and I wont mid doing it. And I dont throw the oil on the roads or feed them to plants. I give it to my local car mechanic shop who reuses them for various purposes.

Couple of updates:

1. Filled tank with 8 liters of petrol after 'F' indicator showed up. And after filling 8 liters of petrol and after riding 234kms again the 'F' guy flashed up. So going by Reserve-Reserve calcualtion 234kms / 8lts = 29kmpl approx. Done 252kms till now and all in city roads and little bit of outskirts.
2. Coming from Hero Honda bikes which have very soft clutch, Duke 390 is on harder side. Provides nice exercise to left hand
3. Horn on this bike is like a Macho muscular guy with baby voice, upgrade if you wish.
4. Headlights are good for City, but if you are on speed run or on fast highways, upgrade it.

And a photo near the place where I have spent most of my childhood dreaming about motorcycles

Not yet. I had to leave for out of station. So bike would be idle for a week and will change oil once I come back.

Hey riazmomin, has the quality of knuckle guards improved or is it the same as the one on test bikes?
Just curious with nothing to do than read more about the specs.. lol

Nope they remain the same.

The only cheap quality part on the bike is those knuckle guards. But they hardly matter once your twist the throttle.
I wanted to remove them but my wifey (also the owner of the bike ) did not permit me

Got my hands on the bike today. Its been a long wait. No more watching reviews and following posts for me
A pointer from my experience - Coolant level and engine oil level seemed low on my bike when i took delivery, will take it to the service center on friday to get it checked.

a hearty congrats for new bike .

although it seems like stupid question but does bike have kick start ?
if not then what if somehow battery got drained...

it seems that deliveries in north india has not started yet.

@dr.mayanksingh bike doesnt have a kick starter. Dont let that deter you from getting the bike. My 4 year old pulsar 200 has never left me stranded.......yet.
