Yea, do let me know how the bike holds speed upto 130Kmph.. Even I prefer riding below 140Kmph on the highways with an occasional outburst once or twice..

Even I'm planning to get a windscreen.. So do share your comments!

I found the MRA one to be quite big and might not require it for the speeds I do (and the price ofcourse ). I just wanted to know if the power part of the duke 200 will fit to 390 as they appear to have same design of the headlamp unit.

Apparently it takes 2-3 hours to fix this. It might be an early end to the discussion on 'interesting design' on the design of radiator fan. (Time my legs get additional hot air massage)

Did anyone else get these calls?

His bike belongs to the first lot or firs of the bikes delivered in Bangalore. Looks like his bike has been called to do the necessary modifications for the operating functionality of the fan (rotates in opp direction during traffic).

Bikes arriving now are getting this done at factory itself and the bikes that have been already delivered might be getting this calls. @atul_chang , @nomad and @abhiman , Can you guys update?

My bike came updated from factory itself.

Just spoke to KTM CP Delhi, they told that they are getting 10 bikes within the next couple of days which will be delivered on the KTM Orange Day on 28th of this month at the IGI Airport, where the Orange day is organized (I don't know the exact location though). The exact timings of the event are yet to be finalized.
I too, had the same conversation and that means the first 10 customers are getting their bikes next weekend. Congratulations to all the first 10 bookings.
I also asked about ECU remapping and got they replied that no such remapping is being done on the bikes. The second lot should contain more bikes and may be delivered in October.

In all the reviews, its mentioned that the quality of the bike is top notch. Why have they all excluded the knuckle guards which are given as an accessory to the bike. It looks cheap and Bajaj could have included the KTM power parts knuckle guard or one with a good finish with the bike. Just don't understand why an international quality bike has to have something that is little better, if at all, than the commuter bikes in India.

I'm facing the starter issue when the engine gets hot. Cold starts are not a problem. Anyone has got that rectified ?
I bought the Ninja 250R !!.....And then i woke up :(

It takes 3 or 4 attempts of pushing the ignition to start the bike when the engine is hot. Watch this video from 9 min onwards KTM Duke 390 Review : PowerDrift - YouTube , its the same issue with my bike.

                                Hellofellow gearheads.

Finally the wait is over. Yoooohooooooo!!! Got delivery ofthe bike this evening. I was the last to receive it (I guess) from the firstlot of bikes that Khivraj received for its 3 showrooms in Bangalore. Some screwup with the finance was the cause for the 1 day delay (not a big deal comparedto the 90 day wait)

Had a chat with Ravi from the Khivraj Bajaj Service Centeron Kasturbha Road (next to Cubbon Park). Two updates I got was that:
                                1. The fan on the radiator now spins to pull airfrom the front when the bike is moving fast and pushes air through (and towards)the front when it slows down to a stop (unlike the 200).
                                2. There is some delay induced in the electricstart in the 390 as compared to the 200. This apparently is to facilitate thedrop in pressure of some kind. Pardon the lack of any tangible info in thispoint cuz I had too many things running in my head that I couldn’t really focuson the technical details. His final statement was that this is not an issue andone shouldn’t twist the throttle when pushing the starter button. I am not sureif the starting trouble issue that some people are facing has anything to dowith this.Click image for larger version
