Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
The problem may be a couple of things..
either the tool bag has become too thick and is not fitting the space so you need to put the tools back more sytematically
or you're not putting the two plastic hooks at the front of the seat into their groove on the base.
Should do the trick.

There are Hooks type on the rear seat that has to fit into the brackets on the frame. Make sure that they sit properly. Little bit of patience will do.Originally posted by THE46FAN View Posti'll consider it guys..
any ideas how to fix the rear seat..only the end part of the seat clicks...the front part is loose...

It's a pain to fix for me too. Try fixing the front part on the orange hooks first and then pressing the rear down. Seriously need to find a hack for this.Originally posted by THE46FAN View Posti'll consider it guys..

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hope all of the Dukes had a good diwali. Mine was the worst diwali ever. Had planned on going to Rameswaram, with all the hotel reservations done, I started early in the morning about 5:45 am from my apartment on 2nd Nov, saturday.
Stopped for re-fueling once. Tried reaching to the top speed twice but could touch 165 kmph only.
Met a guy with duke 200 on the way to trichy, we stopped in NH45 and agreed on riding together till his home city. Just when we started after the stop, while giving acceleration after reaching about 100kmph @ 5th gear, my engine went off suddenly with the MIL ( Warning Lamp) light up. Tried starting it with the self switch several times but it didn't start and started indicating Low Battery. Called the KTM toll free no. but they were of no help. I was stuck in NH45 for about 3-4 hours. Luckily the NHAI patrol van came and asked me if i needed any help. They arranged a mini truck for taking my bike back to Chennai. Paid the mini truck driver approx 7k including the toll fares. Could not give the bike to the service centre until monday since for diwali saturday the service centre was closed.
Monday gave my bike for service. They assured me of delivering the bike to me by tuesday but it has been approx. 5 days still haven't delivered the bike. Initially they had said that the valve head washer for the spring had broken but on thursday they found that one of the engine valve had bent and the lock has been broken. Right now they are out of stock for the particular spare so I have to wait for another 1 week till I get my baby beast back.
Spent my diwali by taking pictures, couldn't cancel the hotel reservation also. Anyways I am lucky that I didn't meet with an accident because of the sudden failure. Had done an engine oil change near around 500 kms. Did the 1st Free Service near around 1000 kms. Got the rev limiter unlocked. Have ridden the bike for 1900 kms till now. The KTM service guy has sent a detailed report to the top KTM India officials. Let's see when I will get it back.
Falling in love with the "lil beast" over and over again. Sorry Baby :D

Looks like Bajaj needs to seriously look into it and KTM needs to make sure that it is done.
Couple of incidents I read:
1. Grab rails broken
2. Brake calipers improperly bolted
3. Radiator fan not connected
4. Low coolant levels
5. And may other PDI related issues
6. Dealer trying to sell test bike.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
First service completed yesterday. Cost of service with Motul 7100 came to 1500/-(Kolkata Topsia SC ). I should count myself lucky that I have not found a single fault with my bike,
until now. The bikes idle is fluctuating a lot. The service mechanics said that this was due to the weather turning cold and that it would settle down by it self.
Has anyone experienced this ??
