    185kmph :O

I know 390 is capable of hitting 175kmph. But 185. You must be one super feather light weight human being i cud hit 166kmph with my 90kg weight.

250kms on the odo and 1 oil change done . The revs were free and weather was awesome so I just let it rip.

I too am surprised. I think KTM claims 170kmph with 65kg rider. Could be backwinds assisting me. Will try again after i complete 1000kms on odo.

Any idea if there are any good exchange deals at KTM for D200 to 390 upgrade? I guess there'd be quite a few folks like me with the 200 less than a year old (and perhaps not too much on the odo either). Just wondering what a fair exchange price would be. Any thoughts?

Woow 185 kmph is too good. Was it a downhill kind of stretch ?

Was the leak from the case itself? Or any fixtures?

I am in the same boat bud. I checked with one of the dealer here and was told that the bike will be purchased by a third party (the dealer will arrange the sale). Owner (me) and third party should negotiate the price. I don't think the dealer is offering a direct exchange. An estimate given to me was 1lac, with some negotiation i'll be happy if i get an additional 10k. I bought the bike on 2nd Jan and have clocked 15k kms. I should be visiting the dealer soon and cut a deal with him (to buy the 390) as well as the third party (to sell the 200).

              Things that may help:
              1) The third party will demand a NOC if the bike is hypothicated to a bank or financial institution (this means the owner will need to pay the principle amount in order to obtain the NOC from the current financier).
              2) Vehicle documents and the invoice.

              I'll keep this thread updated.

              Cheers!!

I took delivery of my 390 Duke 5 days back. I feel the engine sputtering as if it is running lean in low rpms (less than 3000 rpms) in 1st & 2nd gears.
It is felt more when the bike starts running from a cold start.
Anyone else here felt the same? Is it a known issue?

                Thanks.
The gear ratios are very long in the 390 when compared with the duke 200. So at low rpms the engine naturally sputters but it could also happen because of a low octane or adulterated fuel. Always try to fill premium fuels though no guarantee of octane numbers, but will atleast provide some peace of mind. I usually fill from the BP pump next to Trivandrum KTM. Always try to shift and ride between 4000 and 5000 rpm. In this way you can get maximum FE and can also avoid lugging of the engine.

Any one here checked the brake rotors after riding? My rear rotor is too hot to touch even after short rides of 10 or 15 km. When I examined the pads, contact between the pads and rotors are clearly visible. Guess its time to head towards SVC

If you worried about falling off the bike, you'd never get on.

                  Thanks for the info.
Gulp! If that's Bangalore, that's like 33% depreciation within a year (of course, bike's condition, kms done, etc would factor in it as well). Oh man!
                  Anyways, good luck, mate!

Thanks Bud!! Indeed its Bangalore and i am not a stranger to this kind of depreciation. Sold my well maintained CL 500 (a year old) for 1.2Lacs, 10k short of what i expected, had to give up at that price since i had already clocked 25k on it.

Now after the WAIT, only problem TYRES, has anyone got official conformation regarding news thats floating around that they are going to cost only 12-13k? or are they going to cost 20k?(Delhi)
Not that they aren't worth every pisa of the 20k, its just that i'm so damn cheap.

that is definitely not looking like any fix, its better if u do some followup with SVC.

Something strange happened today. I was riding in the bike in reserve and suddenly it started showing that fuel was empty and the fuel mileage was showing 0 km (earlier it was showing around 30 kms). I went on for aroung 10-11 kms before filling up the bike. I think when the oil reserve falls less than 1l or something, then it stops showing the distance to fuel pump and the amount of fuel left.

The tyres will be priced around 22K. I asked multiple showrooms and service centers. Other have asked in their respective cities.

Wicked man. That speed sounds scary on that naked. With you weight, the bike must have felt wobbly, isn't it?
