As far as I remember , on my 200 the bike used to start when in neutral and the side stand down, and also if you would pull the clutch when the bike was in gear it would start but as soon as you let go of the clutch it used to stall, without any jerk or anything. Thats how it worked on the 200.

Those are mostly in karishagiri taluk of tamil nadu. That bamboo groove is around Bethlamangalam Elephant waterhole, Within Gullatty resrvge forest. Nice secluded area, relatively untouched by the tourists so far. about 100+ kms from Bangalore.Pls let me know which are those places in your pics, esp the one were bullet & 390 are parked f2f. Looks like lot of ppl are facing chain issues. One more thing for me to look out for while taking delivery.

Could you please share a google maps pointer to that area? A quick search with the name you mentioned did not give any meaningful hits. Thanks!Originally posted by nasirkaka View PostThose are mostly in karishagiri taluk of tamil nadu. That bamboo groove is around Bethlamangalam Elephant waterhole, Within Gullatty resrvge forest. Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
For me bike delivery delayed to this friday or saturday.
Had a talk with them regarding the Handling cahrges and Temp registration.
Handling charges i'm not sure i can bargain as i am not having a proper understanding about it. Since i will be doing the registration myself in my place. I asked only for temp registration and they are quoting 900 for that when temp registration all it costs is only 100 rs. Will be having a talk with them about that with the showroom manager and try to find out what that is about with these absurd charges.
Thanks for that PM with the price breakdown, or i would have forgotten it man.
Cheers

What's handling charges guys? We're not paying any in Bangalore! The only thing I'm paying extra is 150rs for address affidavit. It's not a SBK or imported bike that you need to pay handling charge!
BTW, my bike is ready for delivery but due to office taking it tomorrow morning

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Kerala guys, any place to get the 3M paint protection film done in Kerala? I have seen many who have done that in their 390s from other states. It is an absolute necessity as the white paint over the tank gets scratched very easily despite of the tank cover.Last edited by junaid12345678; 11-11-2013, 05:03 PM.If you worried about falling off the bike, you'd never get on.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Owners Reviews and Experiences
Went for a 250kms ride yesterday with my wife, basically to see if i can go touring with her. The answer is NO.
On good roads she can manage, even though she was complaining of lack of space, but on bad stretch i could hear her grumbling through the helmet. Another problem is she wants a relaxed ride and Duke urges me to wring the throttle. Anyways after completing the trip i went straight to the service center and asked them to change the oil and filter. When they were about to change it they realized there's a small leakage of oil. I was terrified, but they told me not much leakage, but the O-ring is slightly loose, because of that oil started leaking. They fixed it, but didnt have any answer for me on how it happened. One thing is for sure, this bike is enjoyable only on good roads.
