I've done the max speed the vehicle is capable of doing. I was crouching down and looking through the windscreen. No it neither fluttered nor caused any pull or drag on the handle bar. In fact when I crouched down, it completely negated the wind blast = exactly what it's supposed to do.

When I sat up and was doing around 135 the wind was on my neck to forehead region and nothing on my torso. Thanks to my snug fit Sparx helmet, didn't face an issue.

Moral of the story: the fazer windscreen is perfect. It's here to stay on my duke and no extra mounts are required.

Do not be worried that it flutters or will sheer off. It is made of decent quality plastic and I haven't noticed any cracks around the 4 mounting Allen bolts even on close inspection after the top speed runs.

I met another dude with the same problem but his bike wont go over 9,500 RPM.. The guys at the service center said its normal behavior
      Is this normal?
Is there is Rev limiter setting on board?

Also for people who are interested in the mileage... The on board display has never shown me above 31 km\L
I have done 2500 KM so far... city (in the night mostly) and highway riding.
Checked mileage tank full method multiple times and it gives an average of 23km\L.. Max it has given me is 24 km\L... On the highways it gave me 22 km\L because i was constantly over 140 km\hr

The new batches are quite trouble free. Rest your fears and enjoy the ride.

390 has rpm cut off of 10,500. The engine wont go above that without an ecu remap.

Mine are close to 5000kms. Looks fine even till now. Next 1500kms will say the future of the tires :P

I heard somewhere that front is going to be 8k and rear 11K.

well you don't have lavasa there
1500 km of pure lavasa will wear out a tyre

Thanks a lot for your inputs ,this is definitely encouraging. I agree on the quality, Yamaha has always maintained that . Let me try fitting it this weekend ...

The new batches are definitely improving.
Some instances like the Radiator fan direction , better heat dissipation, fork boots, radiator guard are some that I know of. Others may add more but its definitely in the right direction. Very rare products are perfect from day one specially such a advanced piece of machinery , its this continuous improvement that boosts customer confidence, an art that Bajaj has perfected by now.

As already said by some members as well that the initial toque is now more controllable, it heats lesser or apparently because of the radiator fan's altered direction making it easier on the go.
But I somehow miss the jerk in my neck when I went to test-ride it the first day. I was like a new torero on a bull...

Yesterday got a call from Probiking service, Trivandrum and it was the service manager who informed me about some kind of service (can't identify the word he used for nomenclature) which is to be done between the first and second service or 60 days after first service According to him, it includes complete checkup of the bike at a 'special scheme' of 499 bucks. Looks like the service center need some quick cash Have anyone here got any similar call/mail?
If you worried about falling off the bike, you'd never get on.

Definitely a quick buck for the SVC.
I would say drop an email to KTM. Other poor souls might be fooled.

I agree with the last point, the test bike was wilder than my bike, the suspension on the test bike also felt much stiffer as well as the front brake had very little freeplay (which was good).
I was expecting the same kind of setup as the test bike.....

just wanted to know if these traits are common:

                              * the rear brake pedel vibrates more then the foot rest. at normal position, the shoe rests on the foot rest, lightly touching the brake pedal, and heavy vibes can be felt at around 5-6k rpm.
                              * while holding the tank, at certain rpm, high frequency vibes can be felt on the knees and above. is it common.
                              * twice in last 2 weeks, the bike is suddenly stopped while in motion at around speed of 30 -,40 kmph, as if someone is just cut the cutoff the ignition. strange, anyone else facing this.
                              * chain slap and some high frequency sound from the front end continue.
                              * once in a while, the gear lever does not sping back to normal, after pressing it.

rest all seems to be under control.
