KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences

      Hi Guys.. Finally got my bike delivered today.. I was too excited to check the bike throughly, but one thing caught my eye. The bike delivered to me had already done 195 Kms. When I asked the manager about this, he told me that was done during the PDI checkup and all the bikes were tested so much. To my surprise, yes all the new bikes standing there for delivery had run 200+ Kms. Is this normal? Can someone confirm this?

      Apart from that lovely, lovely bike. Truely a pocket rocket! I feel the suspension is a bit tight in mine, but apart that no complaints.
      Scarily fast, Spot on breaks, build quality was ok, gear shifts were good, I feel the clutch is a bit tight but nothing to complain, and lastly as everyone said the engine gets too hot.

      Will give a detail report after an extensive ride next weekend.

        That's abnormal... It may have 10-20 km on d odo max. Immediately escalate to KTM!

          Thats not right in my experience. I saw 390's in my local showroom which was run only 2 kms on odo. They were not PDI done though. It should be less than 30 kms what so ever.

          200 + is very suspicious.

            Mine had not even covered 1 km at time of delivery.

              Its definetly an abnormal thing for a new bike that too for a premium segment bike like D390 complaint to KTM immeidetly with out any delay

                195kms during delivery, something wrong . Be sure of what happened .mine was just 1km only. All the vehicles crossed 200kms means something fishy. Check out guys....

                        Got my bike today at 1.30 pm . As soon as i came out of showroom and accelerated in 1st gear i forgot all the pain in waiting its been about 4 and quarter months of my wait. I was laughing and grinning from ear to ear.
                        The bike may have some faults but so do i.
                        Just love the bike.
                        When the bike was delivered it had done only 0.9 km on it.
                        Met another xbhp member in the eve when he got his bike delivered . He came from allahabad.
                        Together we rode for about 30+ kms and then he went straight to patna from kanpur on brand new 390. His name is siddharth.
                        Btw it was nice meeting you siddharth.

                            The test ride bike had already crossed 1.5K mark and 1st service was completed. So I know for sure that mine was not a test drive bike. Also, as I said the other duke parked there for delivery had also run 205 Kms. Now I'm also worried about how the bike was driven those 200 Kms. The gear warning indicator was also not set. I looked though the manual and had them changed at home. :\

                              Also when I asked the manager about the rpm warning indicator not being set, he replied stating that it was programmed in the ecu and bike will not cross 7500 Rpm. I had to pay 2+ lacks for the bike, wait for 4 months and now this.

                                I've booked my bike in Navi Mumvai.Even I checked my bike during PDI, odo was already showing 37 km (I've yet to recieve my bike, most probably by 12 November as RTO is closed for somedays because of diwali). KTM service station is 10 km from showroom and service station guy was telling that it bike is recevied in panvel and then driven to vashi.Also I think they will have to take it to RTO(andheri) and back which can add another 80 kms . How can you guys get bike with less than 5 kms was your bike not taken to RTO or taken to service station for PDI or your speedometer was disconnected till the moment before delivery.
