Hey guys, I am Dheeraj, I had booked the bike on august 1 in Indira nagar KTM. Have to be honest cust service kinda sucks, which seems to be widespread in auto industry (Skoda service is a pain) . in any case I went to the showroom on oct 21 and I was told that I can pay the full amount and get the bike within 10 days. Which was little annoying considering the fact that i thought it was to going to be based on the list or whatever. Anyway , I paid it and surprisingly got it within two days.

Now to the bike, I used to ride pulsar 220 and 390 is such a step up. Anyway so far so good. The heat in traffic is little concerning, but one of the service guy said initially it will heat up..managed to get stuck in traffic every day since I got the bike. Sigh. Hoping it will get better and little less heat to contend with in the future . .

The salesman at Wakdewadi showroom said price will increase by about 5k in Jan 14

I too have observed snatchy power delivery lower down the Rev range, especially when the engine is cold.

If i'm not wrong then it should be Anudeep Gowda, he got his bike from Langford, Bangalore and was travelling back without registration

Paid full amount today... They've taken off the 500(RC) + 150(NSC) charge as other showrooms r not charging for it. 112645+200 for address affidavit... Waiting 12 days.

just a query bro. Against your full cash payment what document are the giving. Or they simply gave you a receipt mentioning different charges.

Jugaad for the day.

Using car jack for cleaning and lubing the chain. If i can get hold of another car jack, there goes the need for having a paddock stand

They told me this is what RTO charges! It made no sense to me that RTO would make a rule of mandatorily buying NSC for Rs.150. As far as I know NSC can only be bought in multiples of 100. And I am sure their 'registration expenses' they would have covered for smart card. Even after having one escalation they dare to play tricks like this!

Future buyers- Stay away from this showroom.

Is it reason enough to get it checked at the service center? The snatchy feeling irons out for me after the engine gets hot.

My 390 Experience:

Did 104kms on day 1 and havent got any time to ride her yet. So far I am in love with the ride. Took off the huge tyre hugger the very next day (That thing is heavy).

Now Overall it cant replace my Pulsar. I cant take 390 to crowded places like Pulsar and dont expect it to burn my legs or get unnecessary attention/scratches from people.

The 2.1Lac rupiya question was that can It Powerwheelie? Both yes and No. How? If you riding with a heavy pillion, whacking the throttle open in 1st gear will pop a powerwheelie. When you are riding single, it wont. Powerwheelie on 390 is much more fierce than my Pulsar (with mods). I'll be slotting in a Renthal 14T front sprocket soon. Should be fun after that

Handling is something I dont need to say anything about. I have already scraped footpegs many times.

I am now looking for a good Dual sport/Off-road Helmet for 390. The regular sport helmet doesnt suit the menacing look of 390. My RST helmet looks out of place on 390!

I bought this a month ago:
Spartan ProGear

I've used it with my current bike on the highway. Decent noise cancellation. Awesome field of view

Not anti-fog, but the vents are built so perfectly that any fogging clears in under a second (speeds above 40kmph)
