I got mine from wakdewadi. No problems in delivery. One of the salesguys there did a pdi with me and followed almost the same checklist as I had.
      Their svc also seems good.

yesterday i had been to tvm in car for battery change. got it changed. As soon as i returned i jumped out of car and i tried to fix up the battery.
guys please be careful about the nut in the battery terminal. if it gets into vertical position it gets damn tough to bring it back. it took sometime for that and i fired up engine.... in just 1 click . no throttle.
but later, i found out engine fires even better if i give 2mm throttle too. SM told about you over phone. i got all papers except finance. SM has agreed to attend properly when i visit for service.

BTW some very important information from KTM showroom guy. a newbie there and calls a stuntman himself.

      1. D 390 got the biggest carburetor.

      2. the starting issue is due to petrol pumping and some problem with air/ air intake.

      3. always give accelerator in an ample amount for starting.

      4. i do proper pdi, i check abs properly on streets before delivery.

      5. when asked about no first aid kit in bike, he said, KTM has changed its policy. You see no one uses it, so company thinks its loss to provide and customers must buy themselves.

I had to run to my car after these. anyway had a hearty laugh.
I find it really surprising how little informed the sales people usually are. KTM sells only 2 bikes would it be so much effort to get the facts right, considering it is his full time jobs.

Also let me know the mileage in highways (:

        Thanks in advance friends
The minimum I have seen is 14 and max is 34 in city. Overall, I get around 23 as average in city (reserve to reserve ~180 kms for 8 ltrs).
On highways the average is around 32.

Is there any scratch guard which is direct fit for the console?

What a day it is today... Filled with utter disappointment. The extra mud flap at front lost all its fasteners but fortunately found it on road after I noticed just at the nick of the time. Got it fastened again. If that wasn't enough, the chain guard lost its top securing nut and came in contact with cat!!!. Result is enclosed below . Click image for larger version

Bhp is how fast you hit a wall, Torque is how much of that wall you can take with you.

Try using a piece of clear suncooling film.

You will have to cut any scratch guard from top and bottom as shape of console is different but you can try samsung galaxy grand scratch guard it has same width.

I just checked with my brother ;the colour was greenish..and the service head said that there was an issue with 'engine head packing'? said it would take time to sort out the issue. I need a date.this just blows.brand new bike and issue is due to them not doing their jobs properly in the beginning.
I'm going to service center tomorrow itself to check out the problem.also need a replacement bike.

Long time for changing the cylinder head gasket? Takes like 15 minutes. I hope the bore is not cracked, do you get a sweet smell like badam milk when revving up the bike?

If the colour of the oil is slightly greenish then the coolant has mixed with the oil. The engineers will have to split the whole engine and flush out the old oil. Also at the same time they should check and replace the whole block and piston if needed. If the coolant has mixed with the engine oil, chances are it has damaged the block and piston as well. Ideally they should inspect the whole engine, gearbox , engine internals for any signs of damage due to this issue. It is not just a matter of simply replacing the head gasket and ride like nothing has ever happened.

I suggest then escalate the issue at the higher ups and demand for necessary action to be done. Or else demand for a brand new vehicle or a factory replacement engine. I believe rider aargee had a similar issue with his CBR 250R and Honda had done the necessary deed to the satisfaction of the owner.

                        All the best...

                        Cheers,

the minimum ive seen is 17. That was while riding bumper to bumper traffic for 20-30 mins or so.
The max ive seen is 41.That was on the highway riding in 6th gear at about 75-80 for quite sometime.
The average i get is about 30-33(majority city+lil highways).Tankful to tankful calculations.

This has happened with my 390 almost 1 week after the delivery. Right now am at 2950 kms. Found the same issue, loose fastners.
