Both will last as the care you give.
I am not telling KTM or BAJAJ are better than Honda, so don't get me wrong.

Even today I see first gen pulsars more often but hardly see spoked rim Unicorns or the spoke rim CBZ .

And my dad had a Ct100 for 5 years then upgraded to Hero Honda Glamour, trust me the Glamor has become a rattler, changed the whole rear end panels, other thing is my friends dad uses a Bajaj XCD125 which has crossed 1.6 lakhs kilometers.
These are the resons why i still bough a 'Bajaj' RS200 (used one), , because for that money i can't ask for anything more.

    Cheers.

There are number of riders who have crossed 50k in dukes and pulsars without engine issues. These bikes are lot more exciting than the mundane cbr 250r and still give you value for money more than japs.

i had owned a cbr 250r for 20000 kms and it was a troubled ownership for me.

Both Bajaj and ktm are made by bajaj itself.

Even the 2017 KTM DUKE390 has the right switch gear and kill switch taken straight from Pulsars on sale at 2007.

Photos please, if you have them. Post them pics in the news thread. I've always had this feeling Bajaj switchgear looked better than Hondas.

I said this about Bajaj cause my friend owns a multibrand service centre, hes randomly compared bajaj and Honda bikes like 220f or other Bajaj bike with Honda and said there are a lot lesser issues post 30k km on the Honda than bajaj or KTM, he himself owns a 2014 duke 390, he just gave me his view on how the ownership of all sides felt, soo that's what my point is based on . He just said the Honda engine posed far less problems at 30k km than a well maintained bajaj , maybe I'm wrong its maybe by chance this happens, well this is just his take, he services all bikes from ktms, Hondas, bajaj, Yamaha, etc.

i think my threshold limit is done...that abs error which i thought was a bug corrected by ecu reset was due to a faulty abs unit. Rs 20000 gone in a blink. This bike has eaten money equal to a ninja 300 for me after 4 years and 40000 kms of ownership. forget the maintenance input I have put in. Im not repairing that abs unit. By next service, swing arm overhaul, front shock oil change, chain sprockets, conset...etc...list goes on. Wish to sell or get a cbr 250 abs in exchange.

The 2013 models, seemed to have a host of issues right from overheating, to radiator failing, low coolant warning ,etc. The 2015 duke got a revised radiator and the now the 2017 being all new should offer you a better ownership experience overall. But its up to you, see what sort of bike and power and usage your looking at.

Did you change the ABS unit? If not, what was Rs.20,000 for?

What is the issue with your forks? Why does it require an oil change?

What is swingarm overhaul? What will they do in this "overhaul"?

Just asking so that I can also gain knowledge since I have a Oct 2013 model.

Wow, no trust in bajaj? I wonder how the quality of the dominar is going to be... Soo many people are raving about that bike and its a real butter smooth engine more than a Honda, one doubt is the calipers brembo or bybre?

                            Bybre = BY BREmbo
The ktm's use bybre, and bybre is used in small and medium sized motorcycles.
You can read online more about brembo/bybre (how it came about and their businesses.)

Woah, that's sooner than expected. Can't wait to test ride the bike. Exciting times.
