Thank You for the inputs gentlemen. So, I have a long way to go before I hit even 50k on my bike. Its done just 16k now. Apart from "High Coolant Temperature" message I get when headlight is on.

Strangely, I never found engine heat to be an issue. I dont ride with Sandals/shorts. But yeah engine breaking gets tiring. In the three years I've ridden this bike, engine breaking is one thing I am still not used to. Takes away comfort.

Anybody here who have replaced there cylinder kit, if yes then at what mileage?
My 390 has done 43100 KMs to be precise.

As said by some one already, it has been pretty reliable for me compared to what most of the forums have projected it as. Throttle Body and Fuel Pump were replaced under warranty. Rear suspension I paid.

Mileage has been steady 29-30 KMPL.

Engine braking I found very comfortable coming from a CBR 250r, but the vibes were felt on my friend's bike was due service I suppose.

Actually, the Kawasaki ZX10R was also famous for this issue till the 2015 edition. Post 2015, they introduced what is known as a steering dampener which reduced the issue.
However, lets wait for responses from other members in this thread. They might be able to guide u better.
            Update..!!

The issue has been reolved, culprit being wheel balancing, a dear friend of mine who owns a garage in Vashi solved the problrm for me by Manually rebalancing the wheels with wheel weights. Happily back doing 175+

Stator coil costs just 1k? Brake pads 212? This is so cute. I'm beginning to like the Duke more. [emoji4]

Am asking because 14-42 and 15-45 are theatrically same i think.

Yes the fairing on the rc costs just about 4-6k, the CBR is about 20k , but then again KTM or bajaj engines don't last too long, maybe I'm wrong, but the new 390 looks really worthwhile.

Sorry. It was jumbled. Edited post. Chain lube was 115 (100+tax). 862.5 (750+tax) was for stator replacement.

ECU was also reprogrammed by them. The "pillion-getting-thrown-back" kind of initial is gone, but bike still pulls fast in traffic. Earlier needed 80+ to put 6th gear without knocking. Now doable in 60s. Earlier used to put 1st in bumper traffic, now doable in 2nd and sometimes third. Don't believe all these due to chain replacement alone (poor me )

Boon and curse at the same time. Some parts are built to cost, which fails often like the radiator fan, stator coil, relays, engine packings, etc. Rest parts decently built and new part bins are much improved, but still SVC hesitant to use new parts on old bikes like the covered radiator fans (which we asked twice to replace under warranty). Engine life depends on care and usage style (I have seen many kids hitting revv limiter unnecessarily) and many times luck (lemon pieces).

who said ktm or bajaj engine doesn't last long?

If maintained well there should not be problem to last bike for 100kkms mark

Few of my friends have 90kkms on there pulsars and are still going good

For your information, 15-45 is the stock setup on 2015 rc 390
