I'm going to service center tomorrow itself to check out the problem.also need a replacement bike.

Damn..that sounds bad..worst case scenario has been confirmed. Mate, push for engine replacement, once these guys open it up if they mess anything after parts replacement then will be another headache for you.

7100 is FS, don't shift to SS, the engine anyways runs at a really high temp, it really needs the FS in helping keeping the temp going overboard.

I understand. But if the leakage of coolant and mixing with oil means, the engine is totally in need of a rebuild. And rebuilding a engine with hardly 300-400kms. That's just not right. So i guess you can push for a engine replacement.Don't cave in to the svc guys, push for higher authorities, might take a while but if you are persistant, it will happen.

Push for an entire engine replacement for peace of mind. Tweet Mr. Bajaj himself. He takes interest, worked in my case so I guess no harm in trying.

Got the chain cleaned with kerosene and cleaned the chain cover too. Tribocor is a one messy chain lube. I am never going to use it again. Cyclo has been doing good.

well got to my place now only.the bike is still at asc.could not visit them.going to push for a replacement.will get back my 390 on monday.the idiots at asc did not bother to check if oil+coolant mixing was there when i had earlier given the bike.i have pictures of the same dated 24th of November to prove the same.after constant bugging(did not give by themselves) got a replacement bike just a few minutes ago which was dispatched allegedly 3 hours ago.my place is like 15 minutes by bike from the showroom.irresponsible idiots.wasting time and money.have decided to complain to higher authorities.

o.t:duke 200;the replacement bike.have no idea why some 200 owners called it faster or something compared to 390.it just makes a lot of noise and no speed.i mean, i have no idea why they were not blown away by the 390.the 200 revs maybe a little easier but looking at the speedo i know for sure it is not fast for all the noise it makes.no disrespect but it feels like a honda unicorn compared to the 390.and yes its a lot smoother, refined including the gear shifts.no clunkiness but smooth like a honda(maybe because it has run a lot.suspension felt harder. Also, now i know that i will never be satisfied again with something less powerful than the 390.

I guess they found this issue with my bike. I went to SVC to get this head gasket issue fixed thrice [three replacements] and after the last change [last week], I haven't noticed the issue again.......

Today when I was testing the bike to check if the head gasket is leaking again, found two new leaks...oil seal near the front sprocket was leaking...and got it replaced, oil was leaking slightly from the spark plug and got it tightened....

Now a days, instead of enjoying rides whenever I get free time, I'm at SVC getting one or the other issues fixed.....

Cyclo chain lube is made by pidilite which is also famous for its legendary fevicol brand. I got it from shell petrol bunk for Rs 150 for 100ml can. One can can be used for two sprays.
It is basically in watery form and when sprayed it instantly sticks to chain. No dripping any where. One spray lasts easily for 300kms in dust roads of Hyderabad. If you have cleaner roads then may last 500kms. Chain does not get dried off when compared to motul, diamond or tribocor.

I have used motul, tribocor, diamond and cyclo. Cyclo is way better and makes rear rim dirty only negligible compared to tribocor. Tribocor starts dripping right from the point you spray and it is kind of thick oil.

Though cyclo is bit expensive compared to diamond and tribicor. But it gives peace of mind and clean rim and bike.

I use car jack along with side stand to lube the chain. Cleaning is done by high pressure water.

Use ROLON chain lube cheap & effective chain lubricant for 'O' ring chains its the best one among all the lubes i had used hardly costs around 140rs.
My 220's chain is still in good condition even after clocking 21k+ kms

need more details of rolon lube.make? where to get? price?

@riazmomin

Thanks. So first the bike is in side stand, then you get a car jack to bottom and raise it up. hence the bike should be resting on jack fully. isnt? cleaning done by high pressure water.
I think it wont suffice and looking at cheaper options like kerosene and diesel. how about using grease? i think grease got more life than anything else, but it gets dirty faster too.

I trying to keep the cost / km as low as possible.

Team Torque I noticed the melt when it had a slight contact with the cover, it melted only the edge of the cover, so i did not claim for a replacement part. they did fix in the new fastners. Make sure to use loctite if possible. Few weeks back I had a serious issue with my cam head exhaust valve getting bent because of a loose lock nut which had fallen out when I was riding to rameswaram during diwali. Got the bike repaired in about 15 days but some other issue came up with the fuel injector and cam head assembly. Had lodged an complaint to the ktm india team. They were pretty responsive and they had changed the whole Cam head assembly to make sure that the problem does not repeat again.

Gaining my faith back with KTM. Right now only issue is of the High Lubrication Temp popping up in heavy bumper to bumper traffic. The coolant level is just above the minimum level, didn't get time to go the service centre. Will check up if it is because of my riding style.

Hope you get your cover replaced soon.

Duke 390... im not using it vastly, and im pressurised to clock kms for service too. i dont have time to attend to niggles if anything happens.
