I don't think the gear shift span changes as you go up the gear number.

What the hell??? nearly 200 kms??? i was about to book at the same showroom 2 weeks ago, but due to some problems at home.. i wasn't able to..!! Mate, You should have gotten the bike "Delivered" by the people... not "Ridden" Please do go and ask them the reason for this... i've even seen bikes at Adyar Ktm delivered at 0.7 kms!! i would never ever take any bike with nearly even 30kms ridden during delivery!!! just think... if the bike is not ridden in a proper way even for about 10 to 20kms during run-in, u know it's not doing any good for the engine... and well... everyone knows how the showroom/service personnel drive "other" people's vehicles i think i'll go with the Adyar ktm for my 390 if this persists!!!!! It's best that you email Ktm about this and i'll do a side enquiry with the showroom guys and let you know soon!!!

[KRPS02O] from planet DSG for 3499 + shipping. If anybody has done any DIY paddock stand or a cheaper but sturdy one in blore for KTM 390 please let me know.

also can anyone suggest Motul dealer/distributor ( have heard a lot of fake motul products floating in JC road- hence asking for an authorized dealer) for coolant & chain spray in bangalore
Bangalore CBR Facebook group admin Sudeep Nambiar can you help you getting the DYI paddock stand. Planning to get one from him... Will cost 1500rs apperox.

Could you make Two please. Very good mod and looks just right. Maybe powder coated black would work as well.

Spoke to the manager about this.. He's stubborn from his standpoint.. He says bike was tested so much to check if the radiator works properly with the new mod abs stuff.. already wrote the below email to KTM and Bajaj.. haven't received a response yet..

              Hi,

I had booked a Duke 390 on 15 Aug in Chennai, Mogappair Showroom. After a long wait of almost 4 months and repeatedly calling the showroom every week, I got the bike today (1st November).

While inspecting my bike, what caught my eye was the ODO meter. The bike which was being delivered to me had already run 195 Kms. When I questioned about this, the store manager said it was for the PDI checkup and all bikes were tested this much.

Is this even normal? A bike tested for 200 Kms before delivery?

I am a member of xBhp and when I checked with the other members who had taken delivery, theirs had run only 2 to 3 Kms.

After paying 2+ lacks and waiting for almost 4 months, I get a used bike!* I'm totally disappointed!

I need a proper explanation as to why my bike had done 194 Kms? If the showroom guys had used it for test rides, then I want my bike replaced for one which has less than 5 Kms on the ODO meter!

Request your urgent response! My contact details and the bike details are as follows:

              Number - xxxxxx
              Email - xxxxxx

              Frame # - xxxxxx
              Engine # - xxxxxx

Note - My bike has not been registered yet!

              Regards,
              Venkatesh.

This is all Aluminium so there won't be any rusting ... Didn't go for powdercoat because stones hitting the mesh might take off the coat ... Could be done though !

That's Ridiculous ! Don't register the bike .. I suggest you to hand it back to the dealer ! Now I am more worried because even I booked from the same showroom . Venkatesh please do post the reply from KTM as well and apart from Venkatesh anyone else from Chennai faced any issues with this particular dealer ?

I gotta gut feeling that nothings gonna happen and I just hope that the guys who did the PDI check drove my bike sanely.. I'm happy as long as theres no problem with the bike.. I saw few other vehicles which were delivered in the first lot and all the vehicles has run so much.. I dunno if anyone complained or did anything about it :/.. haven't heard anything back from KTM yet.. Will update as soon as I hear something..

does this dealer have another showroom in the city (Bangalore has Khivraj Motors that runs 3 KTM showrooms in different localities, then there is Popular Automobiles these guys run the KTM showroom in two different localities in the city), if so, may be you should drop by the other showroom and find out how the PDI and delivery is done. I am sure it will be of some running around in city but it should give you an idea of the PDI and delivery being practiced at two different showroom run by same people.

If i were in your shoes, i would have rejected taking delivery of the bike and would have demanded an immediate refund.

Is there a chance of these bikes been run on a dyno for run in process, i don't know if they have one or if there is one in your city but trying to be optimistic.

                              All the best!!
